How agriculture, health and environmental sectors are transitioning to One Health

The positive and negative interactions between and among the human, agricultural and environmental sectors are complex and influenced by externalities. These include, but are not limited to, standards and regulations, economic policies, climate change, changes in land use pattern, pandemics, population growth and socio-cultural conflicts. Increasing awareness of, and greater attention to the complicated links between human and agricultural systems has led to greater support for adopting One Health principles and the transition to this approach by key actors in the food and agriculture system.

GOHi welcomes new assistant to the executive director

Barbara Patton joined the GOHi Columbus office as the new assistant to the executive director on August 2. Patton was most recently a patient access/surgical oncology coordinator at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, where she was in charge of scheduling, patient education, employee staffing and new employee onboarding. In her new role with GOHi, she will work closely with Wondwossen Gebreyes, Amy Mihalakas, and the GOHi Directors to schedule meetings, coordinate calendars, support office communication, plan event logistics and manage travel.
