Dr. Paul Farmer, a world-renowned doctor, recently died in Butaro, Rwanda, at 62. Farmer was known for caring for patients in low-income areas around the world and for his work to reduce ebola, H.I.V. and tuberculosis. He also helped found Partners in Health, a nonprofit healthcare organization headquartered in Boston, and the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda, which helps advance the One Health mission by training health professionals.
