Updates from the Eastern Africa Regional Director
The director of GOHi’s Eastern Africa regional office, Getnet Yimer, visited the Ohio State campus and attended the Post Research Ethics Analysis conference on Ethics and Humanitarian Research in Columbus, Ohio on March 25-27. His stay beyond the conference created a chance to engage in strategic conversations with relevant leaders, faculty, principal investigators of projects based in Eastern Africa, fellows and students.

GOHi External Advisory Board member spotlight
Thomas Mack is an Ohio State graduate and distinguished alumnus of the College of Veterinary Medicine. He founded and operated Bayshore Animal Hospital in San Mateo, California for over 35 years. In 1998, he was honored with the Western Region Practitioner of the Year Award by the American Animal Hospital Association. He is a long-time supporter of charitable organizations and founded his own, Alliance for Smiles. In addition, Mack has been an advisor and supporter for GOHi since 2016.
