Empowering SOF through global partnership.

Stuart Bradin

One of the greatest things about being a part of a new organization like the Global SOF Foundation (GSF) is that change is constant. It is an emotional roller coaster and that is exciting but often painful depending on where your seat is.  The GSF is now about 20 months old. It is constantly evolving, but we are stable and no longer a big mystery to everyone.

Those of you who attended the partner-only "Speed Networking" session and the pre-reception in Pentagon City on Nov. 18th know the power of the GSF network. We had fun, and everyone learned and grew their networks and business contacts. Our intent is to add more and more partner-only pieces to future events.

In February we are hosting the 2016 Global SOF Symposium at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. If you go to the website you can see that the agenda is strong and everything in BLUE is confirmed. I encourage everyone to register and attend this event because it is hard to get these people at a single location at one time. Waiting to register is a bad and costly decision, so register now!

On another note, as we head into the holidays I would ask that we all think about the SOF personnel deployed all over the world. Thousands will be away from their families and friends, and many of them will be in harm's way. Having done this myself, I can tell you it sucks. So please think of them and the families that often carry the scars of the separation. SOF are dedicated professionals that serve their nations proudly, but the burden their families carry is often unseen. Your thoughts and prayers for these warriors and their families will be appreciated.

2016 is coming and the GSF is not taking our foot off the gas. If you can't handle it then jump now because it is going to move faster. Our thanks and appreciation go out to our individual members and our GSF corporate partners - your Kung Fu is strong.  Happy Holidays and safe travels.
