Day 2 - Sedona:  The group has an orientation in Sedona with free time.  Sedona features an optional 4-wheel adventure with a local guide through the iconic red rock formations. This afternoon arrive at the Grand Canyon. Don't miss the sunset!  But if you do, the sunrise will be just as spectacular!

Days 3 and 4: Grand Canyon National Park:   Free days to explore the Canyon, take a flightseeing tour by helicopter, join a Ranger talk in the amphitheater, explore Bright Angel trail, or visit the Geology Museum. On day 4 the group heads to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. A 4-wheel drive back country tour with a Navajo guide and a traditional Navajo fry bread tasting.

Grand Canyon National Park Lodge

Monument Valley Utah, which we will visit is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of sandstone buttes, like those above called "the mittens"  the largest reaching 1,000 ft above the valley floor.

Located on the Utah-Arizona state line, near the Four Corners area of Utah-Colorado-Arizona-New Mexico, the valley is a sacred area lying within the territory of the Navajo Nation Reservation and has been featured in many western movies, particularly those of John Ford including Stagecoach (1939) and The Searchers (1956) both starring John Wayne.

Days 5 and 6: Lake Powell and Bryce Canyon:  Drought in the Southwest and reduced Colorado River flow has stressed Lake Powell in recent years but it is still a must see on any list of major SW parks.  Two nights here at Lake Powell Resort.

Day 7 - Zion National Park:

The primary feature of Zion National Park is Zion Canyon, 15 miles long and up to 2,650 feet deep with reddish sandstone walls eroded by the north fork of the Navajo River. Zion National Park includes mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons and natural arches. Human habitation of the Zion area goes back more than 8,000 years.

Day 8 - Las Vegas:  Our last day and night is at Treasure Island in Las Vegas where you can try the slots or other games if you are feeling lucky. Return to Tulsa after breakfast the following morning.
