We are so lucky to be here waking up to 55 degree mornings, sleeping with windows open under our down comforters as the rest of the country swelters! Town actually feels less hectic than the past two summers where people fled the cities for our mountain air. This year, a big percentage chose to be back in Europe or elsewhere. However, it is still difficult to get an impromptu reservation here for dinner. You need to plan in advance or enjoy cooking at home!
ASPEN POLICE BUY A FEW TESLAS!
This car really made me smile, so of course, I asked the Chief of Police how he plans to keep the batteries working in our long, cold, winter. He said they have 15 other gas powered vehicles…They know the truth!
REAL ESTATE UPDATE
So, we are all watching and wondering when we will see corrections in our prices. I am starting to get price reduction update a few times a day now- but not yet for listings within walking to town. The number of transactions is still lower than last year at this time, even though prices per square foot are still up. I am always working on a list of UNLISTED product and I have a few brokers I go back and forth with. Let me know if you are looking for a reasonable buy-in any price range, or if you want to discreetly sell.
