Nomination Letters for the Golden Glow 2015 Volunteer of the Year and Ambassador Awards are now being accepted by the Board of Directors
.
The Board of Directors has created two awards they hope to bestow on an annual basis. The first, the Ambassador Award, will be given to an individual or group of individuals for their contributions in promoting antique and vintage Christmas history on behalf of the Golden Glow to others in their community, region, state or country. The second, the Volunteer Award, will recognize an individual or group of individuals for their contributions to the Golden Glow of Christmas Past. The awards will be presented during the annual convention. These individuals will be listed in the magazine and also in the membership directory.
Any member in good standing is eligible to submit the name of a member in good standing for consideration. If you know of a member you feel has made outstanding contributions to the organization itself or has promoted the Glow outside the organization, you can place their name in nomination by following these guidelines:
In 150 words (absolute maximum) or less, cite specific examples of their accomplishments deserving of the award you are nominating them for. These examples should have occurred within the past two years. The same person can be nominated by more than one person and an individual can be nominated for both awards.
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 1, 2015 to Secretary Greg Spatafore by e-mail to mrgoodlite@aol.com or by mail to Greg Spatafore, 13105 Old Hanover Rd., Reistertown, MD 21136-4718, postmarked NO LATER than May 1, 2015.
