GLOWBAL RESTAURANT GROUP GEARS UP FOR SECOND ANNUAL '10 DAYS OF GLOWBAL GIVING,' DELIVERING CHEF-PREPARED MEALS TO COMMUNITIES IN NEED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
 
Ten popular Vancouver restaurants team up to distribute gourmet ready-to-eat meals to local non-profit organizations and charitable programs from December 11 to 21

VANCOUVER, B.C., December 7, 2020 - Glowbal Restaurant Group is spreading some festive cheer once again this holiday season by delivering gourmet chef-prepared meals to five local charitable organizations as part of its second annual 10 Days of Glowbal Giving from December 11 to 21.
 
Staff and management teams from the 10 restaurant properties will be participating in the 10 Days of Glowbal Giving: Glowbal, Coast, Black and Blue, The Roof, Trattoria Kitsilano, Trattoria Burnaby, Trattoria Park Royal, Italian Kitchen, NOSH and Five Sails.
 
Each restaurant will prepare ready-to-eat meals to be delivered to the following five local charities on a rotating basis throughout the giveaway period:

  • Aboriginal Mother Center: provides an environment where Aboriginal mothers and their children thrive in an equitable and supportive community that is rich in cultural and holistic values.
  • Atira Women's Resource Society: a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting women and children affected by violence by offering them safe and supportive housing.
  • Directions Youth Services a youth-focused organization provides low-barrier programs and services to individuals under 25 who are in crisis or experiencing homelessness.
  • Success Housing: offers programs and services in the areas of newcomer settlement, English-language training, employment and entrepreneurship, family, youth and seniors programming, health education, community development, affordable housing, and seniors care.
  • Vancouver Firefighter Charities (VFC) Snacks for Kids: working in partnership with the Vancouver School Board, Snacks for Kids provides nutritional support to children and families through an accessible and anonymous distribution system.

 
Glowbal has partnered with food recovery program  Vancouver Food Runners to enlist volunteer drivers to transport meals to Atira Women's Resource Society, Directions Youth Services, Success Housing. Off-Duty firefighters will take the lead in delivering meals to children and families enrolled in the VFC Snacks for Kids program. Each charitable organization will receive two rounds of meal deliveries throughout the campaign.
