ALL IN Employer Partner M&T Bank Achieves POWER Certification
This autumn, we salute one of our ALL IN Employer Partners who recently achieved an impressive milestone when they were awarded our ALL IN POWER Certification.

The POWER (Positioning Our Women for Every Role) Certification attests to a company’s commitment to equity and inclusion.

To achieve this seal, a company must meet a series of metrics designed to create greater intersectional gender equity in their workplace, including improving their policies and culture around professional development, hiring and retention, compensation, operations, and more.
"It is so important we that we work to achieve gender equity both in the organization and in the community at large. We greatly appreciate the WNY Women's Foundation recognizing our efforts and invite everyone to work with us to make the entire community of Western New York one that is equitable for all."
—Kristy Farrell, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, M&T Bank
M&T Bank is the first of our ALL IN Employer Partners to achieve this certification. As they worked through the ALL IN Employer Pathway over the past few years, M&T Bank has demonstrated their dedication to making workplaces more equitable, inclusive, and welcoming.

This is an impressive achievement and we look forward to seeing our other ALL IN Employer Partners follow suit!
First-ever Leadership Summit Success
Thanks to the hundreds of attendees who joined us for our first-ever Leadership Summit on Tuesday, October 26!

We enjoyed an incredible day filled with impactful and action-focused sessions, including lively conversations about creativity and leadership, how men can be better allies to women in the workplace, leading in the “new normal,” and how to start building your leadership legacy.

We are so grateful to report that, through ticket sales and the support of our sponsors, this event also raised over $73,000 in support of the Foundation’s work to advance women into positions of leadership through our ALL IN initiative.
We were thrilled to host this engaging and inspiring event virtually and look forward to reconnecting throughout the coming year.
WNYWF at the White House
This past spring, WNY Women's Foundation CEO Sheri Scavone joined colleagues from the Women's Funding Network to present to the White House Gender Policy Council.

Last week, based on these presentations and our data, the White House released the first-ever National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality. This is a historic moment and a huge step forward!
Shop Local this Holiday Season
This holiday season, shop your values and support local women-owned businesses. Our crowdsourced WNY Women-Owned Business Directory features hundreds of women-owned businesses across Western New York. The Directory should be your first stop for special and unique holiday gifts.

Supporting local businesses enriches our community, creates local jobs, and is more eco-friendly than shopping online. Plus, when you support women entrepreneurs, you’re taking an important step towards making Western New York welcoming and equitable for all.
