Poverty Simulation to take place at Partnership Annual Meeting
Each fall season the Tioga County Partnership takes stock of all accomplishments and opportunities for the coming fiscal year at its annual meeting.

To do things a little differently this year, the Partnership Board will be hosting an interactive poverty simulation; an activity that simulates the crippling circumstances experienced by those who live in poverty. Povery simulation participants will gain an understanding of how to approach and assist those who are living in poverty with greater tact and sensitivity. This is how it works: After being organized into different family groups, participants use play money, bills, and assets that can be redeemed or paid at staged stores, utility services, banks, and other daily consumer services. Inevitably, just as in a real life poverty situation, money will run out and hard choices will have to be made to make it through each simulated day. Join us for this special event and gain insight into the struggles faced by those living in poverty. Save the Date: October 17th. More information to come. All are welcome!
