Orange is the color of hunger awareness, which is why you're encouraged to wear orange on Hunger Action Day, September 17th!

For every photo shared on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #HungerActionAACo, the Jessica & Bruce Morgenstern Local Impact Fund will donate $5 ($5 = 15 meals). So this Hunger Action Day:

  1. Wear orange
  2. Take a photo
  3. Post it to Facebook or Instagram using hashtag #HungerActionAACo and tag @aafoodbank.
Help us reach our goal.
500 photos = 2,500 meals
You can wear orange to raise awareness of hunger in Anne Arundel County. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant detrimental impact on food insecurity in Anne Arundel County. Since March 2020, Anne Arundel County Food Bank (AACFB) has witnessed a 482 percent increase in the number of people seeking assistance at food pantries and, in response, distributed over 7.6 million pounds of food throughout Anne Arundel County. Today, AACFB continues to see an average of 64,000 visits to their partner food pantries per month from people who rely on its food and basic necessity programs.

Together, we can take a stand against hunger. Every action, big or small, makes a real difference in ending food insecurity in Anne Arundel County. Help us raise money for the AACFB by wearing orange or donating to ensure that everyone in Anne Arundel County has enough to eat.
Take action this September!
