Happy New Year! We are so thankful for your friendship and involvement in our community this past year and are eager to see what 2019 has in store. We had a lot to be thankful for this year, including amazing new instructors and classes at the studio, our first off-site retreat, as well as dozens of fun workshops and events. Of course, none of this would be possible without YOU, our thoughtful and lovely supporters.

Thanks to those that participated in our December gratitude challenge. It was wonderful to share a month of gratitude with you. Congrats to Emily Utsch , Brenda Conzet , and Kathe Moore our big winners from last month.

Join us this Saturday for a FREE yoga and journaling session starting a 9 a.m. We will lead yoga and offer journal prompts to help you set some personal intentions for the coming year. As we enter a time of year that brings unpredictable weather, please remember to pre-register for your classes. If you are unable to preregister for any reason, please send us an email or Facebook message. We will post updates online and send an email and/or text to all those registered for classes that may need to be changed or cancelled. Please also ensure your zenplanner profile has the correct email and phone number in case we need to get a hold of you . Thanks in advance for your help!

Schedule updates! Tuesdays Mindful Movement will now begin at 6:30 instead of 6:15 p.m. Aerial Tone is being added to the regular schedule on Thursdays at 6:15. We will no longer offer regularly schedule Cat's Kids Yoga classes. Please keep an eye out for workshops and special events.

Week of Wellness Challenge

Please join us for a week of wellness to jump start your 2019! We will meet the first two Sunday’s in January. The first Sunday (Jan 6th) will involve a chat with a Holistic Health Coach to discuss overall wellness, nutrition, and goal setting followed by a hot yoga detox class to kick start your clean slate.
During the week we will be staying in touch through a private facebook group to hold each other accountable for the goals we created, additional daily challenges, motivation, and support.

The second Sunday (Jan 13th) we will converge to discuss our experiences and be given additional wellness tools to continue forward with a healthy 2019, followed by another amazing hot yoga class, and end with a blissful guided meditation.

Meet Your Instructors
Lindsey Johnston is the owner of The Fire Within Yoga studio and a Certified Yoga Instructor since 2015. Lindsey’s passion is to share the positive effects yoga has had on her life in hopes of helping others feel and accomplish the same.

Lisa Christensen is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a Reiki II Certified practitioner. Lisa is passionate about helping others find a true and sustainable level of health without fads, guided by self love.

Allison Kelley is a Reiki II Certified practitioner and Certified Yoga Instructor at The Fire Within. Allison is driven by the positive changes in mind, body and spirit that both yoga and Reiki can achieve.

Together Lindsey, Lisa, and Allison believe in the transformative properties that yoga, meditation, and nutrition can have on the body and soul and cannot wait to guide you into a fantasic 2019!

Expand your Aerial practice

Interested in learning about more aerial yoga and lyra, or want to strengthen your current practice? Join Alex Ziepke in this playful, inviting workshop. The 2 1/2 hour session includes one hour of aerial tricks and one hour of lyra (also known as aerial hoops) with a short break in between sessions. All experience levels welcome.

Aerial Hammock Tricks! Take your knowledge of aerial yoga/hammock to the next level in this workshop. We will learn new tricks, inversions and conditioning to continue your practice.

Lyra! Learn lyra (aerial hoop) poses and conditioning in this fun, supportive class! ALL experience levels & total beginners welcome! We will go over safety, entry and exit of the lyra, learn a sequence and have time for free play!

2019: Practice Yoga and Set Intentions

Combine yoga and journaling to initiate a well balanced 2019. This FREE yoga and journaling session will combine mindful movement and reflection in a welcoming environment. Class will begin with movement, complemented by journaling prompts, and a guided meditation. The 75 minute session will fly by as you gather your thoughts and reflect on intentions for the new year.

Bring your yoga mat, journal, and favorite writing utensil.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga helps provide physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety. Using props to allow you to hold poses longer, this practice gives you benefits of deep, passive stretching. A restorative yoga sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends.

Join Allison on Wednesday, 1/23 at 6:15 to beat the hump day slump and take a break from this busy season. Plan to bring 2 blankets to help in total relaxation.

Introduction to Yoga Class Series

Interested in trying yoga, but too intimidated to be a "newbie" in class? Join Allison for a two-part series reviewing the basics of yoga poses and breath work . These 45-minute classes will touch on beginner poses, linking breath to movement, and body awareness. Our intimate, comfortable environment allows for one-on-one instruction and plenty of time for questions.
