Vicar Sharai's Message
“God won’t give you more than you can handle.” For some, this can be a reassuring phrase, reminding them that God cares for them. But, there are many people who have had to deal with problems that they couldn’t handle, and for people who are struggling this phrase may make them feel as though God doesn’t care at all. So, should we dismiss this phrase as a comforting lie, or could scripture still reveal some truth behind it?
Jesus, You call us into community. When we have to carry more than we can bear, free us to ask for the help we need. Amen.
