God IS!!! 7/30/23
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
These are the Words I heard God whisper last week as I arose (PRAISE THE LORD FOR ARISING AGAIN!) from my sleep!!
It has been a HOT and unusually hard summer for me. I have not felt well in over 30 days-ever since my Bday on June 30.
Much of this can easily be explained on the long calendar-after all, I am NOT s spring chicken any longer!!!!
It is tempting to just finally give up and give in to old age, but...........................
Psalm 61:2 (KJV)
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
OVERWHELMED-a primitive root; to shroud, i.e. clothe (whether transitive or reflexive); hence (from the idea of darkness) to languish :- cover (over), fail, faint, feebler, hide self, be overwhelmed, swoon. Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
“LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I!!!”
AHH, REMEMBER THAT ROCK-JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are times, beloved, in THIS life, when-NOT IF-storms UNEXPECTANTLY burst into OUR lives, much like happened to Jesus' disciples:
Luke 8:22-25 (KJV)
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
Please note there was no professional weather forecasters in Jesus day and although some of Jesus disciples were weathered and professional sailors no one accurately could predict the weather.
Jesus had instructed His disciples to get in the boat and GO to the “other side of the lake!”
WHAT could go wrong!!!!! JESUS was “on board!!!”
JESUS, the miracle worker!! The ONE they trusted in, the ONE who had healed myriads and performed amazing feats!!!!
They were FOLLOWING His Word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT- “stuff happens”-AMEN!!!??? UNEXPECTED STUFF!!
And, as too often happens, “THIS IS THE BIG ONE” as Fred Samford so famously exclaimed- “THE BIG ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
THIS is the ONE that is finally gonna' take me out.....................
And then, “ALONG CAME JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
“THEN HE AROSE, and rebuked the wind and raging of the water;
AND THEY CEASED, AND THERE WAS A CALM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

God IS “ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US!!!!”
God is the joy and the strength of my life,
Removes all pain, misery and strife,
He promised to keep me, never to leave me,
He'll never, never fall short of His word.
I've got to fast and pray,
Stay in that narrow way,
I'll keep my life clean everyday,
I want to go with Him, when He comes back,
I've come too far and I'll never turn back.
