God Is Already At Your Tomorrow
On display in the British Museum in London, there is an old mariner's chart that was drawn up in 1525 outlining the North American coastline and adjacent waters. The cartographer made some intriguing notations on areas of the map that represented regions not yet explored. He wrote: "Here be giants," "Here be fiery scorpions," and "Here be dragons." Eventually, the map came into the possession of Sir John Franklin, a British explorer in the early 1800s. Scratching out the fearful inscriptions, he wrote these words across the map: "HERE IS GOD."
Why is it that the unknown produces images of fear? Many people miss out on their full potential due to limitations placed upon their way of thinking. It is amazing how many people are paralyzed in fear due to not knowing how things are going to turn out.
It is when we step from the place of familiarity to the place of unfamiliarity that we begin an adventure of faith. Are you afraid to face the unknown? Has God spoken to your heart about stepping out in faith from your comfort zone into a great adventure with Him? Don't allow the unknown to stop you from receiving what God has available for you.
In the journey of life we will all face times of uncertainty, but we have to remind ourselves that we serve a God who is faithful. Whatever you are facing today be reminded that God is already at your tomorrow. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you do know who holds your tomorrow.
