God Provides

Dear Ministry Partner,

It is a joy to write in another month what God is doing in our life and the ministry of CCI-Myanmar. God is always faithful and good upon His people regardless of sins and weaknesses.

It was a special month of praying for the survival of innocent civilians, doing social service to the needy ones and planning/preparing for the upcoming training ministry. Indeed, we prayed for the growth of the training ministry in our country, for peace, and justice of our country as well.

These photos are the new plant church of one of our CCI graduates in eastern Myanmar. It has been three years since he started and now God has added new believers into His kingdom. God even provided a small piece of land for the ministry and now they can have worship service under the incomplete building. It is in a remote area where there is no electricity, so they face many challenges in terms of holding bible study and follow-up of the ministry, especially at night. Pray that God will provide funds for the undone building before the rainy season, which starts in June and for the solar electric power. The picture of a house with solar is just a sample of what most people in the rural areas need, but can not afford to buy.

I had a chance to lead a one-day bible study and prayed for the nations based on Psalms 93. We cried out to the Lord for forgiveness, safety, and restoration of all areas of life by believing that only God can do.

While making plans and preparation for the coming area leaders’ annual meeting and seminars, we cleaned and checked the CCI materials. We found out that some books need printing.

Testimony From a Student

"My dream has come true through the CCI training ministry. Praise the Lord for providing the materials! Book #1 provides what my heart longs for many years. Now I can read and easily figure out what the Word of God means after learning this rules and interpretation of the Bible. The clarification of the materials are very clear, easy to remember and gain a lot of Bible knowledge. I would encourage my friends who have no opportunity to study the Bible also. Staff Update

· The eldest child of Pastor B is still weak. Pray for a complete healing of the Lord. The rest are well. He and his family are so faithful in the Lord’s calling, they are committed to sharing the Good News and making disciples for the ripe harvest.

· Pastor M and his family members are doing well. They are still on the farm after over two years since the military took over power. Eastern Myanmar is one of the four most damaged states in this revolution. Group learning classes are scattered, and most student and teacher volunteers and spiritual leaders are in separate temporal camps. Pastor M will visit those people whenever there is special event and when it is safe to travel.

· Pastor Y and his family are doing well. They are very much a dedicated family for the CCI ministry.

· Pastor Z and his family are ready to serve God’s people in a church as pastor. He can spend time more with pastors to promote and encourage to do the great commissions.

· Pastor Tu and his family are doing well. He is still being strong in the training ministry and is always looking for ministry opportunities.

Prayer Requests & Praises

Praise points:

o God protects us and feed our daily needs.

o Safety for over fifty thousand people in a northwestern town (a town where my mom and relatives live) and the surrounding villages from the hands of the military after attacking them for seven days.

o One of the teachers, Pastor H, has been in the hospital for more than one month but now he is improving much. He can move around by himself. Keep praying for him so that he can eat food.

Prayer points:

o There is an urgent need for travel expenses for five CCI area leaders. Against the critical situation, they will make plans and pray to be able to attend the CCI manual training and meeting in south central Myanmar from April 18-20. All leaders, except for Pastor B, will go by plane as this is the only safe way to go. We need approximately $1,500 for all round trips, lodging and food during the meeting. This meeting would be the first time after three years of unrest across the land and meaningful in reflection and planning for more training classes.

o Pray for the upcoming seminars on God’s Financial Principles and Teachers’ Training Workshop in south central and eastern Myanmar states. I expect over one hundred pastors and church leaders to attend.

o Keep praying for my US visa. I heard that the US embassy will reopen the visa in June. If I can’t get in before then, I may try again in June.

o I am planning to visit my 90 year old mother in a northwestern town that is one of the 37 townships the military announced for martial law. There has been bad news there lately. The military used airstrikes to bomb innocent civilians. Over one hundred civilians died, including one of my 18 year old nephews. Please pray for God’s timing and protection for a merciful trip and sweet fellowship with my family.

o The staff of CCI Myanmar is looking forward to the Global Conference to be held in Thailand in November. Many would like to go, but do not have the money to buy plane tickets. Many teachers want to join in this inspiring meeting and sharing God’s goodness together. Please pray for God’s provision for this. If you feel led to help, please click button below. Thank you.
