P.R.A.Y. ANNOUNCEMENT - NOVEMBER 2020
GOD AND FAMILY CURRICULUM TO BE REVISED
P.R.A.Y. CONTINUES REVISION PROCESS
GOD AND FAMILY CURRICULUM TO BE REVISED
Volunteers Needed!

It’s pizza time! P.R.A.Y. is starting on the revision of the God and Family program for grades 4-6, and you are invited to participate. We need feedback! We are also looking for a team of volunteer writers. Here is how you can help:

SHARE YOUR OPINION: TAKE A SURVEY
Over 130,000 children have made cardboard pizzas since 2005 when God and Family became the pizza program. And those children had a parent, pastor, or counselor helping them. All those adults have real, hands-on experience teaching the God and Family curriculum. We want to hear from you! Tell us your experience, offer suggestions, and help improve the program. Here is a link to a survey with general multiple-choice questions, with the option of going deeper to answer specific questions on curriculum. This is your chance to impact the P.R.A.Y. curriculum. Take the survey by December 1st or share this link with the people you know who have the experience teaching God and Family. Your opinion matters.

WANTED: VOLUNTEER WRITERS
P.R.A.Y. is looking for experienced writers. A God and Family Revision Team will be assembled to analyze feedback, evaluate the curriculum, and produce a revised program. This team will model a denominational cooperative venture. Volunteers with experience in Christian Education and curriculum development (as well as teaching experience with the God and Family program) are encouraged to apply. P.R.A.Y. has created an “Application Form for Writers” which must be submitted by December 1, 2020 to be considered. Final selections will be made by December 7th and writers will complete their assignments by February 28, 2021.
ABOUT THE REVISION PROCESS
  • This is the 3rd program to utilize a volunteer writing team.
  • The writing team is multi-denominational and includes both clergy and lay leaders.
  • The entire revision process utilizes over 200 volunteers.
  • For the third straight year, the volunteer artist is a high school American Heritage Girl.
  • This cooperative writing process is the vision of CEO Jason Noland.
