The average age of the ACCTS staff is is +75. Some have served faithfully for more than 20 years, but the realities of the aging process make international travel to minister to the uniformed services of the world more difficult. Our collective desire is that ACCTS continue to be an enduring organization, one that is not dependent upon the incumbents of our various ministries, but rather is continuously recruiting new workers to serve as our "Joshuas."
In Numbers 27:15-22 we read, "15Moses said to the LORD, 16“May the LORD, the God of the spirits of all mankind,* appoint a man over this community 17to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the LORD's people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”* 18So the LORD said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit,** and lay your hand on him.*19Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him* in their presence.*20Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.* 21He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring* of the Urim* before the LORD. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”22Moses did as the LORD commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole assembly. 23Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him,* as the LORD instructed through Moses.
Our prayer is that the Lord would begin to show us those whom He has called to serve the uniformed services of the world, that they might begin to meet those to whom we minister against the day that the He calls us from the mission field and sends them forth to continue ACCTS ministry in over 150 nations.
Pray for us as we seek our Joshuas. Ask God to keep us attentive to His guidance, and bold to follow it.
