God is Messaging His People!

This has truly been a good year for bad news! Many people today are convinced that the world is out of control. Institutions we have always trusted seem to be falling apart. The government can no longer provide solutions, and even the most astute individuals are baffled by world conditions.

In light of what we have seen in the past few years in the way of immorality, crime, violence, earthly catastrophes, lawlessness, wars, and rumors of wars as well as political sabotage everywhere-can you imagine what we are about to witness just around the corner?

Our world is suffering labor pains. We are definitely witnessing the death of man’s ways in our world-but also the birthing of God about to remake a new world. It is time to get ready for that birth. God loves us too much to bring His new kingdom to pass without warning. He knows that mankind is hard of hearing, and He is allowing the chaos, the degeneration, the unfairness, and the confusion to get our attention!

What is happening is kind of a countdown, painful to observe, but choreographed behind the scenes, by God, to set the stage for the final moments of time. These labor pains we are going through will become more frequent and intense as we approach the delivery from the old to the new. “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near” Luke 21:28. This should be a source of hope and expectation for God’s people everywhere.

People are hoarding, saving up, and getting ready for the coming worldwide recession through a wave of fear and anxiety about the future. People are afraid the ship is sinking. Mankind is yearning for security. Is this the very point in time that all the prophets in the Bible predicted would come? Are we actually living in the generation in which all the Biblical predictions will be fulfilled?

One thing is certain-everything appears to be falling apart! Something catastrophic and apocalyptic is taking place in the world.

Do we become hermits and go into hiding? Do we abdicate to the evil? Do we just try to ride it all out-hoping that a better day will come? Or do we yet have a work to do?

Everything that we now see happening has been clearly predicted in God’s word. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing can happen unless God allows it. GOD HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL and our ONLY FEAR is if WE are not under His umbrella, cooperating with His grace and His loving care. “God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7.

 There is an enabling Power and trust that Daniel as well as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew personally, that allowed them to trust in Divine providence over their lives regardless of the outcome. “God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O King, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up” Daniel 3:17,18. This is our calling, this is our first work. Entering into this same “oneness and trust” with God regardless of our hoped-for outcomes.

I believe God’s people are going to face a deepening time of sorrow and tribulation. I believe we will be tested, tried, and tempted. God has not promised to keep His children from suffering. He has not promised to keep us from facing an hour of need. We have no promise of world peace, tranquility, security, or continuous financial well-being.

However, we are promised peace and security of mind and soul, Psalms 91. God wants us to keep about our work until the new earth is restored. That means that we are to work as though the end will never come, and also live as though it were coming tomorrow. Psalms 62:5

Therefore, we are to “ESTABLISH our hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand” James 5:8. Also, “EXAMINE yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates” 2 Corinthians 13:5.

 We are to FIND this daily “ONENESS and TRUST” with God personally, then make it the epicenter of our marriages and families. As this work is being established, we have a mission, as God’s earthly ambassadors, to INTRODUCE this “ONENESS and TRUST” in GOD to our churches and our nation. In order “To make ready a people prepared for the Lord” Luke 1:17.

This truly is our only safety and security! For our redemption is not merely who is in the White House, but “WHO” is in our house, our lives, and our marriages.

Let us honestly be about our work and use our influence for God’s glory!
