God is Moving in France and

Through the France Antioch Network

Written from N’Djamena

by Pacal Abonnaz

Several ministers of the France Antioch Network joined the national leaders of the different member countries of the Africa - Madagascar Network, for a time of spiritual retreat and conference in Chad.

Several of the countries represented are in sub-Saharan Africa, a region stretching from Guinea to East Africa. Indeed, this part of the world is marked by great poverty, growing jihadist extremism, violence, political instability and more. More than 16 million of our Christian brothers and sisters are displaced, either within their own country or in a neighboring one.

Despite all these obstacles and tragedies, God continues to work inexorably and powerfully, often hidden from view, to bring new people and ethnic groups to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and salvation.

Here is the brief testimony of two collaborators of the Antioch network in Chad:

  • In N'Djaména, Pastor David recently secretly baptized Muslim disciples of Jesus and is helping them grow in their faith. Several organizations outside the country are funding new oral translations of the Scriptures into various local languages. David partners with them, helps train young indigenous missionaries, and sends them with this accessible audio material to unreached ethnic groups to bring them the Gospel.

  • In the south of the country, Djas has been working in Christian education for more than 35 years. In the mountains he founded a Christian school with 1,300 students (elementary, middle school and high school). He also oversees a network of 100 Christian community schools in villages across the region, funded entirely by students' parents. It is an active member of a national network of more than 1,000 schools created by the country's evangelical churches.

We have known these brothers for over 30 years. We have invested in and continue to collaborate with them. This is where Networking comes into play: to exchange encouragement, support, resources, training and development opportunities, prayers, etc.

Because beyond all our “achievements”, visible or not, what gives value and meaning to our Antioch Network in France and Africa is the quality and depth of our relationships. They endure over time, establishing people and churches in life of the Kingdom of God!

Presentation of the Tabernacle Church in Beaune by Andy Et Stéphanie

The Beaune Tabernacle began as a group of houses and was founded in 2012 by Pastor Davide Tassone and Pastor Michel Marvane. As the group grew, driven by the “Closer to God, Closer to People” vision, the church quickly had to find a new location. A solution was found by sharing the facilities of a Reformed Protestant church. The community quickly strengthened and grew in solidity, which allowed it to find an independent venue in 2018 with capacity for almost 50 people.

In 2022, Pastors Davide and his wife Magali Tassone joined the pastoral team of Dijon Tabernacle Church. Since then, we have been able to take over in this community thirsty to see God act in his people. We are happy to serve the Lord and see that the work continues. The church continues to grow in maturity and unity, with five baptisms in the last year and a half, and numerous commitments in terms of training and services.

Antioch Africa / Conference in Chad

by Philippe Montuire

We gathered for our Antioch Africa meeting in N'Djamena. The apostolic team, along with their spouses and other French network ministries, gathered for this week-long meeting. The program included a pastoral meeting with about 50 pastors from N'Djamena and a women's conference was also organized, which was a great moment of edification and fellowship.

Three days were then set aside for a spiritual retreat with the Africa network. The following countries were represented: Chad, Central African Republic, Togo, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Madagascar. The exchanges with these apostolic leaders were very rich. As each brought good news about their work, we ended with moments of thanksgiving and gratitude. We also share interesting topics such as Christian education, culture and mission.

Our deepest joy is that today the network is growing. Several hundred churches today form the network. We thank you for partnering with us to make it possible to continue planting churches all over France and beyond. Please join with us prayerfully and financially to make it possible to plant 50 churches by the year 2037. We currently have 22 churches in France and we know that with your support we will continue to spread the Gospel and reach many lives for Christ.

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Ephesians 3:20-21
