Dear WMO Family of God,
| |
Shalom and blessings in Jesus our Lord and King. We thank God for each one of you as we lift you up in prayer and we journey together, bringing His love to people in this world. His light shines the brightest in the midst of darkness. So many people are without hope. We love to bring His love to people everywhere.
PRAISE REPORTS - August and September Updates
Jewish, Muslim, and Children's Outreaches - Romans 1:16

Israeli Outreach - Zanzibar, Tanzania
August 11 was another divinely appointed day that God granted us to fulfill His Word and to bring the Son of God to the human race. The first outreach in Zanzibar was to the many Israeli tourists visiting. Each year during this time the people of Israel love to come to this area. By doing this event, many of them hear the Gospel of Messiah Jesus, and then they can bring this message to their families back home in Israel. The Gospel is not heard daily in Israel and our heart is broken for the spiritual condition of the people of Israel; they are like lost sheep without the True Shepherd. The same is true of the nations of the world, who are also like sheep without a shepherd. While the Israelis are away from Israel and away from the pressure of the daily influences of tradition and religion, they are free to listen to the Truth of the Son of God, Messiah Jesus. We encouraged many churches in Zanzibar to step up and share the Messiah with the House of Israel as directed by Romans 1:16, 11:11 and 11:30. The churches are now experiencing the promise of Genesis 12:3 when God said, “I will bless those who bless [the Jewish people].” The biggest blessing the church can give to Israel is Jesus, the Messiah. Zanzibar churches are doing this in the midst of their own trials, living in a predominantly Islam-controlled state. All the pastors rejoiced to see their church community experiencing the joy of Genesis 12:3 the first time.

Praise God we had a full house at the banquet room to hear the Gospel of Messiah Jesus, and all attending received a Hebrew New Testament and wonderful Bible tracts written in a Messianic context. Two Israelis prayed to put their faith in Messiah Jesus and follow-up is in process. Amazingly, one of these two was a precious Israeli we met last year and who attended that Jewish outreach. She was in Zanzibar again, and the Lord had prepared her heart to draw near to Him.
Muslim Outreach - Zanzibar, Tanzania
With joy in our hearts, after the Jewish Outreach the local churches were excited for the subsequent five-day, open-air evangelistic outreach to Muslims. Expectation from God was very high, and God met our expectations. Many Muslims heard the Gospel over those five nights. The choir was great, the worship was great, God received the glory, Jesus’ name was lifted up, the Gospel and hope in Jesus were presented clearly and an invitation was given to the audience to respond to trust in Jesus, the Son of God. Many made decisions to trust Jesus, the only Son of God, and now the local churches are doing the follow-up and discipleship of each new believer.

We thank God for the words of Jesus in Acts 1:8, promising to us the Holy Spirit to enable us to worship and serve Him. Darlene and I always wait on the Holy Spirit to lead us to step out in His power to present the Son of God, Jesus, to the world. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the Son of God to others. We depend on the Spirit of the Lord for everything. We are only servants of the Lord.
During this trip we both got very sick, especially Henry with dysentery. We thank God for hearing all your prayers for our healing. The Spirit of God touched us and healed us. He is faithful!
This world is full of trials, but we know that when the roots of our lives are deep in Jesus and His Word, there is no reason to fear the storms that come. A favorite verse from a favorite song is, “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey.” This is so true. We must trust HIM and obey.
Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centers Open-Air Outreach - Near the Border of Tanzania and Zambia
What a wonderful work the Lord did through the leaders and the children of the Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centers. They hosted an evangelistic outreach to the community surrounding the Center. Nearly 300 children showed up to play soccer and other sports. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. we played sports with the children to connect with them, and in the afternoon, we shared the love and Gospel of Jesus. We thank God for the 100+ kids who opened their hearts to Jesus. Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. (Matthew 19:14). The Center worked with several churches in the area for the discipleship of the kids; it is good to work with the Body of Jesus for growth and to unify them as one in Jesus.
Elisha, a young Tanzanian man with a BIG heart for kids has been volunteering with our Naomi Ruth kids for two years. He has such a big heart for evangelism. When we saw this, we prayed. The Lord has opened the door to hire Elisha and in October he will begin to disciple the kids who were saved during this outreach. He will be busy discipling well over 200 kids until our next outreach in September 2024, God willing.
The Naomi Ruth orphan kids performed a Prodigal Son skit as a way to introduce the Gospel of Jesus and they were so happy and proud to serve Jesus and bless this community of other kids in need with His love. Please pray for the follow up of these children and pray for Elisha who will be starting an Awana program - a curriculum that reaches children and their families with the Gospel of Jesus. We are so excited!
Evangelistic Outreaches in Spain - September 17-30
God willing, we will be bringing 23 team members from around the world to join us to be a light to thousands of pilgrims walking on the famous road called “El Camino” on the way to Santiago de Compostela. We will have our team stationed at the La Fuente del Peregrino Albergue, a guest house where we will meet around one thousand people who are passing daily in front of us. We will engage one-on-one and we trust God to use the team to lead many to Jesus, the Son of God. Additionally, following the outreach on the Camino, we will join a local evangelical church near Compostela, where we will conduct three nights of open-air outreaches at the local park. The city government will not give us permission to use a sound system for public speaking at these outreaches, so Henry will preach trusting the Lord to bless his voice. Thank you for your prayers for protection.
We can't wait to share with you the fruits of what the Lord Jesus is doing in Spain. We are in it together. Your partnership in prayer and support makes this outreach possible. Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples …” (Matthew 28:19), so we pray that the Lord will draw many and they will be saved. What a joy to see churches around the world working together so the Body of Jesus may grow. There is a lot of opposition these days around the world, as the days are becoming more evil, but Jesus is faithful! He is the True Vine.
We thank God for you, for your prayers and for your support. May the Lord bless you and your family. Thank you again for standing with us.
Love in Him,
Henry & Darlene

Please pray for this ministry and for the upcoming outreach in Spain:
- That we continue to run this race and persevere despite the opposition
- For team unity
- For open doors
- For protection
- For provision

We would like our partners to know that we remain in partnership with ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability), an outside Christian accounting firm, to insure we continue to maintain a high standard of financial oversight, integrity and accountability. This also includes meeting all IRS requirements regarding taxes, etc. We have a CPA who prepares reports for the IRS and ECFA. At this time we need to raise additional funds to cover association fees for ECFA which is an essential part of our ministry costs. We really appreciate your prayers for these needs to be met. Thank you!
