Delightfully Sober
House of Hope graduate, Dan Lester, is an example of a man who has broken the cycle of addiction and has been living a sober life, free from drugs and alcohol since December 29, 2023.
Dan entered the House of Hope residential program a year ago this March, and upon graduating, he took the position of Overnight Supervisor. He lives in the resident house, participates in daily devotions and is very helpful. Mike Murphy, lead mentor, says, “Dan is a humble servant. He helps with anything the guys need. From building things to cooking and cleaning.”
Dan has grown in his staff role and has also taken on the duties of the trade skills workshop supervisor, which involves overseeing projects, teaching residents how to build things, use tools safely and produce products for orders, festivals and fundraisers.
Dan is living in the resident house, participates in daily devotions and is back-up for Mike Murphy from time-to-time.
In Dan’s spare time, he is actively committed to his physical and spiritual health. He also enjoys fishing and thrives on and having supportive people around him.
Congratulations Dan!
