Spotlight: Art Matters!
Art education has always been important for young children, starting with the basic physical benefits. As babies and small children learn how to create, they discover how the connection between mind and hands can bring their ideas to life. Motor skills and coordination improve as little hands and fingers gain new skills in manipulating paintbrushes or clay. At the same time, all this new input stimulates the brain the form new ideas and concepts from new connections, increasing cognitive skills.
Art also allows children (and adults too, for that matter) to express themselves in safe, comforting, socially acceptable ways.

After School sign up Fall 2022-2023
Did you know we offer after school care for children enrolled at local elementary schools? Students who join us for afterschool are provided homework support, afternoon snack, and the opportunity to participate in a wide array of activities! In addition, when the local school districts are out of school we provide fun school out camp days with field trips, in house guests, and engaging activities throughout the day! Bus space is limited from each of our schools, please CLICK HERE to access the afterschool agreement. This can be printed and brought in or emailed to dcedarparktx@goddardschools.com

Summer Camp Field Trip Info:
Blue Group Field trip details
Tues 7/12 - We are heading to Musicians Woodshed today! All children need to arrive in their blue summer camp shirt. The bus will leave at 10:30am and will return by 12pm we will each lunch when we return to school.

Wed 7/13- walking trip to Milburn park. Please wear your blue summer camp shirt and arrive with sunscreen and bug spray applied already. We will leave the building at 9:15am and return by 10:30am weather permitting

Red and Yellow Group Field Trip details

Regina Silly Sparkles: Fri 7/15 @ 10am
Our Preschool, Prek, and School Readiness classes will get to participate in a fun magic/ puppet show presented by Regina Silly Sparkles today! Then to end the day we'll do popsicles for popsicle Friday!
Coming Up
Techie Kids Club: Tues 7/19 9am-11am
Techie kids club will be hosting a fun STEAM event for our Prek and School Readiness classes today. Each group will participate in a variety of hands on activities and experiments.
CPR/First Aid: Thurs 7/21, 6:30-8:30

All children participating in splash day today will get a chance to enjoy our dual lane water slide!
Popsicles and snowball fights: Fri 7/22
Younger classes will get a chance to play with snowballs during outside time today while older classes will have a chance to do a TX style snowball fight during outside time today!
