Can You Bring in a Single, Double, or Triple?

Hits? No, matches. Do you work for a company that will match, double, or even triple your donation to the JP4 Foundation? Find out now with our newly launched  corporate gift giving database. It's easy to use. Simply enter the name of your employer and gain immediate access to your company's gift giving guidelines, process and forms. Some companies match financial donations, others donate based on volunteer hours and some companies do both!

Please note: our new name may not yet be updated in all employer databases. You may need to use the Blizzard Foundation name when submitting match requests to your employer. Our EIN is 81-2968738. The JP4 Foundation (formerly Blizzard Foundation) is a 501(c)3 organization.

Camps for Kids Update

Last year our December Camps for Kids holiday party raised $20,000 to fund two summer-long baseball camps for the North Minneapolis and East Saint Paul community. Those gifts, pledges, and donations are now in play along with more than 80 kids.

The JP4 Foundation recently wrapped up week two of camps in both of these cities. With over 80 kids in attendance, the JP4 Foundation has  once  again hit a home run with a community-
based program

More than half of the kids are experiencing the game of baseball for the very first time and are already benefitting from the sense of belong ing that comes with being part of a team.

"I've never played baseball, but I have always wanted to. Between 1-10, today would be a 10."  Lindell, Age 10

Developing baseball skills is a side benefit of these camps. The true benefit is found beyond learning baseball fundamentals and engaging in physical activity.

"Our goal isn't finding the next Minnesota baseball star, our goal is to give youth in these communities something positive to do during the summer that can help shape their lives, develop positive relationships with peers, learn life lessons, and empower them to deal with failure. It just so happens to be we are using the game of baseball to do this." Jeff Huth, Executive Director.
Congratulations, Drew Gilbert

We are pleased to announce Drew Gilbert of Stillwater Area High School as this year's third recipient of the Johnny Price IV Memorial College Scholarship. Drew's enthusiasm to lift others up was shown consistently throughout his application.

"I [Gilbert] think the true value of the sport shows when you can use your platform to inspire others. I  try to make my teammates better through my leadership skills and work ethic. I want to set an example every single day of what true dedication to becoming a better person on and off the field looks like."

Congratulations, Drew and good luck in your educational endeavors!

The Johnny Price Memorial College Scholarship was established in 2016 to honor a beloved Lakeville South standout, John Price IV, who passed away following an automobile accident December 4th, 2015. Scholarships will support senior baseball players who exemplify the qualities of "JP4"

We Need Your Gloves! Look for the Official Buckets Around Town

The JP4 Foundation has teamed up with Team Tucker in hopes of bringing baseball to 500 kids in 2019. We're off to a great star!  This spring alone more than 275 students, K-5, participated in Tucker's Sandlots throughout the Hopkins area. The JP4 Foundation paired baseball players from Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park), West Lutheran High School (Plymouth), and Benilde St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park) to help run these sandlots.

Tucker's Sandlots, powered by the JP4 Foundation, will continue throughout the summer months, and we need your help to make that happen. To ensure all participants have a glove of their own so they can continue playing the game well after the sandlots end, the JP4 Foundation is collecting new and used kid-sized baseball gloves.

How can you help? First, we are looking for locations throughout the community to place and rotate these glove collection buckets on a monthly basis. Community or civic centers, schools, religious organizations and most businesses are perfect collection sites. If you can host a bucket or if you know of a good location, please contact  JP4 Foundation's executive director, Jeff Huth at
