Going Deeper: Africa
Nathan was able to host another video call with pastors from all over Africa this past month. There is excitement growing as we seek to build up, encourage, and assist local churches and pastors in Africa. The president of Praying Pelican Missions, Jim Noreen, challenged the pastors to "go!" just as Isaiah responded to his call from the Lord in Isaiah chapter six.

With two video calls under our belts, we have begun to go deeper into Africa and are getting to know the pastors on a deeper level as well. Nathan has spent many hours having one-on-one conversations with these pastors. The majority of them are from Kenya and Uganda. Hearing their stories of how they met Jesus and what their path into ministry has looked like has been so encouraging!

Not only are we building deeper relationships, but we are also seeing the need for PPM Global at a greater level. We want to remove barriers that would cause African churches from serving together in missions! A team of us met together in Minnesota to lay out the strategy to get African churches connecting through mission trips and we are more than expectant of how God is going to use PPM Global.

With that being said, a small team including Nathan and Jim will be traveling in January, 2022 to Kenya and Uganda to meet face-to-face with some of these pastors! To pull off this trip and begin empowering these pastors and their churches to go on mission, we are looking to raise $10,000. We already have commitments of $3,000 toward this goal! If you are able, we would love for you to join in the launch of PPM GLOBAL AFRICA by giving a one-time or monthly gift through the Global Access Fund. And as always, we covet your prayers over all of the PPM Global planning that is taking place.
September Pictures!
We celebrated Labor Day Weekend by hitting up a few local spots in the area which included an alligator farm. We saw more alligators in 30 minutes here than we did in the 3 years we spent in Florida! The kids had the opportunity to hold a snake and a baby gator....Nate and Laura passed on those "experiences."

After not seeing her for almost two years, Laura was able to travel to Virginia to spend the weekend with her grandmother. It was so, so good to be with her! Laura was also able to see aunts, uncles, and cousins who live there as well. Hopefully, we will all be able to see family there in the coming year, the kids haven't been north since we lived in Costa Rica over three years ago!

No, we didn't get a dog....Abbi "dog-sat" a couple of weekends last month and we all had a blast playing and cuddling them.

We took the kids to their first-ever county fair last weekend - we all had a blast! The best part was the rodeo....the opening ceremony was awesome! The announcer took the time to honor those in the military, public service, medical field, and teachers! He then proceeded to pray before the rodeo officially began. It was so refreshing to be in a public setting where people were honored, but most importantly, where the Lord was honored.

The girls had "Spirit Week" at school this week. The first day was "Disney Day." Another day was "dress up as something that begins with the first initial of your name." So, Reagan chose "rabbit." Abbi opted out of participating that day, but Laura had tons of ideas for her as you can imagine. We went to the town parade last night, the football game is tonight, and the Homecoming dance is tomorrow. We are embracing this small-town life!

Thank you so much for your faithful, continued prayers, and support for our family. We love and appreciate all of you so much!
