Join a panel of capital markets and investor relations leaders for a candid look at what it takes to bring a company to the public markets in today’s post-pandemic environment, and to succeed once it gets there.
Our panel brings together a veteran investment banker who has helped many companies go public, a Latham & Watkins partner who has worked on more than 100 IPOs, the IRO who led Coinbase through its landmark direct listing, and the head of IR who built the investor relations program at American Healthcare REIT right after its NYSE IPO.
Through an interactive discussion and audience Q&A, you'll hear how the underwriter, the lawyer, and the issuer each see the IPO process, and what IR teams can do before, during and after the offering to build credibility with the Street. This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights, stay ahead of capital markets trends, and network with IR and investment community peers.
Expected topics may include:
- Today's IPO window: what's driving issuance, valuation, and investor appetite
- Lessons learned and IR do's and don'ts from recent deals
- Traditional IPO vs. direct listing vs. de-SPAC: weighing the trade-offs
- IPO readiness: when IR should get involved and what processes or functions need to be built before and after
- Building an IR program from scratch: the first earnings call, guidance philosophy and analyst coverage
- The underwriter's view: positioning the equity story, the roadshow, pricing, and allocation
- Legal and disclosure guardrails: quiet periods, Reg FD, and first-year compliance
- Life after the lockup: shareholder base evolution, index inclusion, and sustaining credibility
