NEWS FROM THE GRAND BASILEUS

International Grand Basileus Deborah Catchings-Smith
G reetings Sorors, Philos and Rhoers!  We have completed a successful 2018 Regional Conference Season engaging in leadership training, networking, sharing best practices and demonstrating our amazing sisterhood through the phenomenal support of our undergraduates! We are a little more than 60 days away from our arrival in Dallas to attend the 57th Biennial Boule where we will unite in celebrating our Sisterhood and Service which is Our Intentional Journey!

Your National Leadership, National Boule Hostess Denine Goolsby, Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Chapters, National Boule Planning Team and International Corporate Headquarters have been working diligently for the past several months to ensure a memorable and meaningful conference experience.

National Mental Health Awareness Month
May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. We must commit to fighting the
stigma, learning about resources available in our communities and being an advocate of change in public policy that supports individuals and families tackling mental health challenges. There are numerous organizations, publications and documentaries that provide invaluable educational resources and information. One such resource is National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), nami.org. In alignment with our Sister's Thrive Mental Health Initiative, let's continue to promote awareness and share educational resources to support our sisterhood and the communities we serve. For more information, please review the sorority's pRHOtect Your Mind Reference Guide.

Technology Update
Under the leadership of our National Technology Team, Soror Crystal Rock has been engaging in the development of the beta testing for providing members the ability to remit their national assessments online. Special thanks to all sorors and chapters for your participation in the beta testing that will assistance in moving our technology initiatives forward! We are on track to launch the online remittance payment pilot process on July 1.
