Not just skating by...

Though the ribbon has not even been cut, the Ulyssess Skate Park has already been voted the best skate park in the Denver area. You can read all about it in the recently released Best of Denver 2017 edition of Westword, and be sure and visit the park when you get an opportunity! Even if you're not a skater, the park will impress. And watching those who know how to use all the features - from rails and ledges to halfpipes - takes it to the next level. Our congratulations to the Golden Parks & Recreation Department!

On another note, the Golden Community Center will have modified hours on Sunday April 16 in observance of Easter:  8 a.m. - 1 p.m., with the pool closing at 12:30 p.m.

Have a great week!

Your friends from the City of Golden

CSM Neighborhoods Open House & Online Survey
Join the Community and Economic Development Department for a community planning process and public input opportunity for the Colorado School of Mines Neighborhoods on Wednesday, April 12, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Golden Community Center. This City-driven process is not intended to address the arrangement of various university uses within the campus boundaries, but rather focus on the relationship of campus as a whole to the community, and the interface of campus edges with nearby residential, commercial, cultural, and recreational uses.

City Council and staff are seeking specific input and recommendations as to how the relationship of the buildings and uses along the edges of campus can meet the university's needs while respecting and enhancing the physical and social relationship with adjacent neighbors. Give us your thoughts with our  quick survey.

For more information contact the Community and Economic Development Department at 303-384-8097.
