Colorado Gives Day 2017
"For it is in giving that we receive." - Francis Assisi

Today is Colorado Gives Day. This statewide movement celebrates and encourages philanthropy in Colorado with a local focus. Celebrating the theme "Give where you live" Colorado Gives Day makes giving locally easy by allowing people to go to one website,  www.coloradogives.org where they can find local charitable organizations they care about all in one place.  You can sort by cause or location to find the perfect charity that speaks to you. And e ven if you can't give now, the site is up all year long, so you can give when you can.

Current Projects
Streets

The Streets Department will be setting "NO PARKING THIS BLOCK" signs throughout the 9th and Maple St. neighborhood, alternating sides Monday through Thursday, to make a final fall leaf sweep.
Stormwater

Stormwater division is cleaning inlets around town. We expect to complete the cleanings by Christmas.
Water

Gateway Village pump station communications are up. This means that the new water infrastructure that has been built to supply the Gateway Village development (Avalanche Harley and others) is being integrated into the rest of Golden's system so that it can be controlled and operated from the water plant. We are working with the vendor to get the controls configured for our SCADA system and to get a new antenna installed this week.

Utility Replacement

The utility contractor is still working on Johnston Road watermain replacement between W. 14th Ave to South Golden Road. Crews are boring the line, not trenching it, so there will be intermittent lane closures but no full street closures.

Menzi Truck for mowing
Mowing

All Mountain Construction was in town last week and Monday Dec. 4th with their Menzi muck.  They were out last Thursday mowing a channel off Rimrock Dr. and in the vicinity of Fossil Trace Monday the 3rd.
