Calling All Artists!
The Public Art Commission has issued an open call for artists to submit their ideas for new public art installations at New Loveland Mine Park, DeLong Park and on Clear Creek Trail.
The artwork should be a welcoming enhancement to the visual appearance of the site and should appeal to a broad range of people and be uplifting and stimulating to the spirit, intellect, and physical senses. Artistic creativity and interpretation that speaks to Golden’s heritage and natural setting are encouraged.
Artwork will be selected on the basis of creativity, artistic merit, technical proficiency, and relationship to the aforementioned theme and site. Long-term maintenance, durability and impact on park design and operations concerns will be major selection criteria.

"Overdose and Fentanyl: Facts, Prevention and Response" is part of a series of free classes offered to the Golden community by the Rotary Club of Golden.
With rising rates and an ever-changing drug supply, overdose is something that affects us all in some way, and for many of us, this includes on the job or when volunteering. Fentanyl has brought the topic closer than ever, and it’s important to have the correct information to feel safe and confident in our environments while helping others stay safe too. This 60-minute training is intended to provide information, prepare participants, and get everyone talking about overdose, fentanyl, and naloxone (Narcan) – all important knowledge that can help everyone save a life.
