Child Tax Credit: Cash for families before the holidays
There’s just one month left for families to receive the money they are due from the advanced Child Tax Credit (CTC). The IRS has extended the deadline until November 15. Families can receive up to $1,800 per eligible child (even if they don’t file taxes) by completing a simple online form.

Rocky Mountain Storytelling Presents “A Tiny Storyfest”
The Rocky Mountain Storytellers are back in person with a "Tiny Storyfest" at the American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th St. on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Storytellers, Story Listeners, and Story Lovers create events that perpetuate the art of oral storytelling.

Tiny Storyfest Features:
  • A mini-concert of four stellar Rocky Mountain Storytellers with years of story savvy. A mini-concert (not a slam) of four slammin’ successful slam tellers.
  • Eight storytellers will do a short “story of their story” after telling – whatever they choose to share about the “hows” and “whys” of their story.
  • A guided group dive into what YOU want to know about storytelling.
  • A fun slam with a theme: First Times. Come cheer folks on or put your name in the hat with your choice of a personal story or a traditional tale.
