At SEO London, we are determined to help as many students as possible secure a summer internship or graduate role. We wanted to bring your attention to the Growth Markets (Africa) Off-Cycle Internship within the European Special Situations Group (ESSG) - Securities Division.

This is an exciting new opportunity within Goldman Sachs that gives you the chance to originate, analyse and execute investment opportunities in the private growth equity space across Africa.

ESSG is the European arm of the Global Special Situations Group, a multi-strategy investing and lending group that sits within the Securities Division. The work in this division is highly analytical with emphasis on fundamental valuation, financial modelling, analysis of financial accounts, market research and legal documentation, with strong teamwork dimension.

To apply for this role, you should have the following:

Bachelors/Master’s degree by June 2018 with an excellent academic record
Relevant prior work (or internship) experience in private equity, hedge funds, corporate finance/M&A or consulting
Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem solving skills
Confident communication and interpersonal skills
Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation
Proficiency in Portuguese, Arabic or French would be a plus but not essential
