The Bridgewater Club
Golf Course Opening and
Head Golf Professional Announcement

After an extensive national search, the Club is proud to announce that Rick Witt will be the new Head Golf Professional of the Bridgewater Club.  Rick is a class A PGA Member who looks to bring his 19 years of Head Golf Professional experience to the club and build on the great programs that have already been established over the past ten years.

Rick is originally from Noblesville, IN and grew up in an active golf family.  Two of Rick's brothers are also golf professionals, one of which is Dan Witt at Sagamore Country Club.  Rick received his bachelor's degree from Ball State University where he was an Academic All American and played on the varsity golf team for his four years.  Rick has served as the Head Golf Professional at other  country clubs including Crescent Oaks Country Club in Tarpon Springs, FL; Ivy Hills Country Club in Cincinnati, OH and recently for the past 10 years at Blackhawk Country Club in Madison, WI.

When Rick was at Ivy Hills Country Club, his golf operation was rated as the #1 golf program over 65+ other private clubs in the region, proving his commitment to creating outstanding member satisfaction.  He likes to be very "hands on" and visible, and it will not be uncommon to see him playing a few holes with both the men and ladies during the week.  Rick is very good with junior development programs and has some new and exciting ideas to continue to enhance our tournaments and merchandise offerings.  Rick is currently a Taylor Made National Advisory Staff member and was also a Titleist National Advisory Staff member for eight years.

In addition to being an accomplished player and golf professional, Rick is also a family man.  Danielle, his wife of 20 years along with his six year old son Chandler look to reunite with their family who still live in Noblesville.  Rick will start on Monday, March 24th and begin his transition.  The club will host a meet the pro event on Thursday, March 27th from 5:30-7:30 in the main ballroom.  Please join us in welcoming Rick and Danielle to our amazing club and community.

I would also like to thank Cody McNew for his hard work.  Without his commitment to the club and membership we would not be as prepared for this season as we are.  Cody embodies our vision of putting members first and is always willing to jump in and help.  With Cody, Paul and Rick the 2014 golf season looks to be better than ever.

The other big news I wanted to communicate to the membership is the reopening of the golf courses.  I am more than happy to report that both golf courses will open this Friday, March 21st.  Jim Loupee, Golf Course Superintendent, and his crew have been working hard to prepare the golf course for opening.  With some warm nights, wind and sun the frost is out of the ground and we are ready to play some golf.  Please call the golf shop for your tee time.

The entire team is looking forward to another fantastic season.  With our new Head Golf Professional confirmed, the golf courses opening, and warmer weather right around the corner - 2014 looks to be another great year.

Sincerely,
Mike Gardner, CCM, PGA
COO/GM
