Alliance Migrates to New

Education Platform

The National Alliance Education Hub now resides on a new LMS platform. According to Executive Director, Dave Barton, PGA, "This new platform greatly enhances the user experience, the delivery of our on-demand education, and reporting abilities. Thanks to our supporters, we are able to provide this education to the golf industry at no cost."

Are Your Volunteers and Staff Ready to

Support an Adaptive Golf Event?

With the increasing interest and momentum in adaptive golf, are you prepared to provide a welcoming, accessible and inclusive environment at your programs or competitions? Don't assume your well intentioned and valuable volunteers and staff are comfortable with what to say or not to say, or actions to take, or not to take, and communications and etiquette related to the different types of golfers with disabilities they will interact with.

Every golfer is unique in their approach to the game and where they may, or may not request any assistance. Help your volunteers and staff better understand how they directly contribute to positive experiences for all involved. Click HERE or the image above to learn how your organization can be better prepared to host events.

PGA Now Provides Playing Ability Test (PAT) Path for Adaptive Golfers

The PGA of America now offers adaptive golfers the opportunity to use scores from approved adaptive golf events to serve as PAT qualifying scores on the path to PGA Membership! This is a great initiative to increase workforce diversity in the golf industry.

Accessible Golf for ALL

Alliance Board Member Jan Bel Jan, American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and Executive Director, Dave Barton, PGA recently spoke with Melissa Low, CAE and Kyle Jennings, CAE on the CMAA Let's Talk Club Management Podcast, Episode 116. A big thanks to the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) for diving in to a conversation surrounding what the National Alliance is, what the organization aims to do, and how clubs and courses can begin to make their spaces more welcoming to individuals with disabilities. What's Getting Talked About?

Did you check out the latest conversation on GAIN? A seated golfer with spasticity and nerve pain (not uncommon) sought advice on dealing with these issues and using a new adaptive golf cart. The community is responding, providing advice and referring to others. Click HERE to get involved with this conversation and many more!
