5th Annual Johnny Price IV Memorial Golf Tournament - 
A Smashing Success  

With more than 250 golfers joining us in person and another 50 online participants, the 5th Annual Johnny Price IV Memorial Golf Tournament was our biggest turnout yet, bringing in more than $80,000. Thank you to all our sponsors, golfers, online participants, volunteers, and donors for making this possible!

With the funds received, the JP4 Foundation will continue to run our current programming dedicated to enriching the lives of youth through baseball and look to expand programming in the spring and summer months come 2021.

 


JP4 Foundation Apparel - Store Open Until Thursday, September 17th

With 50 hats selling out in 15 minutes and our t-shirts and polos flying off the rack, it's time to open up our JP4 Foundation Apparel Store to everyone! We have partnered with UNRL to bring you a variety of JP4 Foundation items with proceeds being kicked back to the JP4 Foundation. It is a WIN-WIN. Happy shopping!
Camps Bring Stories of Success During COVID

It may have not been what we hoped for, but it certainly surpassed our expectations. Last month, our summer long baseball camps came to an end. With camps running every Wednesday and Thursday since the beginning of July, campers from around the Twin Cities had access to healthy meals, healthy activities, and healthy relationships.

While COVID guidelines restricted the number of kids we were able to impact, the small number allowed us to provide a richer experience by offering a smaller coach-participant ratio. This small ratio led to more time with the coaches and created opportunities to create trust and form stronger relationships. 
"We started every camp this summer with a Walk-and-Talk. This was an opportunity for us coaches to check in with the kids after not seeing them for a week." Coach Josh Tyler from Augsburg College continued, "You would be pleasantly surprised to see how excited the kids would get [to know] they got your undivided attention for 5-10 minutes to start camp."

The JP4 Foundation partnered with MATTER to ensure the campers had access to healthy meals during the day. MATTER Snack Packs, which include a whole grain, protein, and serving of fruit, were available to all of the campers. Extra Snack Packs were also made available for any camper that wanted to take extras home for the upcoming week.
"MATTER has been a great organization to partner with," Jeff Huth, Executive Director stated. "They care about ensuring kids in their own backyard have nutritious snacks to fuel both their mind and body."

The JP4 Foundation has found a need in the community and will continue to run summer long baseball camps in the upcoming years. The foundation will continue to look for strategic partnerships throughout the Twin Cities community to help fuel growth.

Our Dogs Journey Partnership

Financial Assistance Available

The JP4 Foundation has extended its fall financial assistance request deadline until Wednesday, September 9th. The JP4 Foundation is dedicated to making baseball accessible to all families regardless of program affiliation or ability level. Our board of directors meets quarterly to review all assistance request forms anonymously. If you or someone you know are experiencing difficulty managing baseball related expenses, the JP4 Foundation is ready to help. All requests are held in the strictest confidence. Applicants can initiate a request here.
