Meeting called to order by President Rachel Toomey. Total attendance: 24. Members 22, 1 speaker, and guest Erin McNulty. Nice to have Mary Meador from United Way join us today. 

Safe travels Bill and Shara Grant who are leaving for North Carolina for the summer soon. 

 50/50 today was won by Liz Ross. 

Announcements:
  • Have you sold your dining books yet? See Todd for some.
  • Registration for District Convention is now open open (Orlando) at early bird rate until July 26. Let us know if you are planning on attending.  
  • The board approved the funding for start up of a sensory room at Rayma Page. Bill Grant made a financial donation toward this cause. Thank you Bill. 
  • DCM (Division Council Meeting) was last Thursday at Headpinz. A general meeting was held to elect Lt. Governor for 2019-2020 (Tina Pegler) and re-elected to the FL Foundation was Bruce Boyd. Both are members of the Lehigh club. Congrats! Thank you for representing out club; Rachel, Todd, Ada and John, Barbara H., Linda, Stewart and Liz. Lehigh and Gateway clubs co-hosted the meeting. 
  • We are looking for speaker chairs for June, July, August. See Lindsey.

Ronald McDonald House summer meal preparation-Cathy Smith will be the project leader for 4 dinners over the summer; the first one's are May 29, June 12. See Cathy for more details.  

MS Support Group - (Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of the month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church. Liz and Susan will be covering during the summer. Please consider joining them some time.

K-Kids-(Kim Berghs) Littleton Elementary had their last meeting for this year on May 22nd. They celebrated a successful year, talked about projects for next year and we bid the 5th graders best of luck as they head off to middle school. This spring, the club raised over $700 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation doing a "Change Drive.Thank you to the faculty that volunteer their time to spend with this club. 



Aktion Club- (Karen Hurst) at LARC. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 8:30am, year-round
 
CKI Club-  at  FGCU. (Stewart Ross) On summer break.

Key Club- ( Harris Segel) Collegiate High on FSW campus.  Last meeting for the year was May 15th. They are going to try and meet twice over the summer. 

Builder's Club-( Barbara Hartman, Todd Adams, Ada Trapanese) Cypress Lake Middle School. On summer break. 
                          Today's Program: Golisano Children's Hospital

Melody Desilets, Major Gifts Officer for the Lee Health Foundation spoke today and gave us an "at a glance" look at this regional children's hospital that will be 2 years old this month, a much needed-needed place. Her presentation included photos of what each floor looks like and the services available, and the partnership with Ronald McDonald (family room setting inside). There are 134 beds, 70 of which are private rooms for NICU. Major accomplishments for 2018 include; burn service, inpatient dialysis and post stabilization trauma program.
