Dear Gompers Families,

We would like to thank GEPTO for organizing our Fall Festival!   Also a thank you to parents, students and staff for attending in costumes!  It was an awesome evening for families and our community.  Thank you to all.
Early Dismissal will be:  November 10 and 16 at 11:35 a.m.  Parent Teacher Conferences are on November 16 in the afternoon and evening.

    Your child's teacher will be contacting you about the time you are scheduled for a conference.  This is an important time for us to connect regarding your student's progress towards grade level standards.  

As our weather changes, please remember to dress your child(ren) warm for walking to school and recess play.  Please make sure they have a hat, mittens and a warm coat.  If you are in need of a coat for your child(ren) we have information in the office.  Koats for Kids - is available to help out parents until November 2, 2017.  The coats are located at:  Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, 1717 N. Stoughton Road.  ID is required - please call 608.246.4730 x 200 for more information.
Empty Stocking Club - we have forms available in the office.  Or you can call Jessica Twitchell our social worker 608.204.4558 and she will help you with the application.  Application are due on Friday, November 3.

On the eve of this celebration there will be several workshops for students and families.  This year, we will have workshops such as:  decorating sugar skulls, paper cutting folk art, paper flowers, among other activities and games.  We will also have Mexican Day of the Dead Bread and Hot Chocolate!
You are welcome to bring snacks to share with all the families.  

Choose a Leaf from the Giving Tree
When you're at Gompers for Parent Teacher Conferences, check out the Giving Tree on the bulletin board opposite the school office. Teachers have written classroom requests on paper leaves. Simply take a leaf, purchase the item, and provide it to the teacher or return it to the office. Some of the requests include colored construction paper (Ms. Xiong), magnetic tape (Ms. Hollar), headphones (Ms. Spinelli), and paper plates (Ms. Sparks) hand disinfecting wipes for all classrooms.

Upcoming Fundraisers

Please join us for our next restaurant fundraiser at Benvenuto's (1849 Northport Drive) on Sunday, November 12. We will receive 20% of all sales between 11:00 a.m. and 10 p.m. when you mention GEPTO. And thank you to everyone who joined for the Culver's Night in September! It was great to see so many Gompers families filling the Culver's dining room and drive-thru.
