Garden Bonanza Night - TBA

Dear Gompers families,

We would like to thank GEPTO for organizing our Fall Festival!   Also a thank you to parents, students and staff for attending in costumes!  It was an awesome evening for families and our community.  Thank you to all.  Also, during Parent/Teacher conferences this week, GEPTO will have a table where you can purchase items from teacher wish list requests.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are this coming Thursday, November 15, and there will be no school that day.

Your child's teacher will be contacting you about the time you are scheduled for a conference.  This is an important time for us to connect regarding your student's progress towards grade level academic standards and social/emotional standards.

As our weather changes, please remember to dress your child(ren) warm for walking to school and recess play.  Please make sure they have a hat, mittens and a warm coat.  If you are in need of a coat for your child(ren) we have information in the office.   If you need additional support,  you can call Jessica Twitchell our social worker 608.204.4558 and she will help you.

As, we move closer to Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks, please know that I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and I appreciate everything all of out families do to support our school.  Public education is very important and the staff and students are doing great things at Gompers on a daily basis.

Thank you all for your collaboration and support.

Kindly,
Jackie Smith
Principal

Visitors must sign the log in the office and have a visible visitor sticker on at all times.  If family members are planning on visiting for more than a moment, they should have a previously scheduled appointment with the teacher.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Smith.
MESSAGE FROM OUR CROSSING GUARDS

Safety Notes
Thank you students, faculty and families! Students crossing the streets to
and from school  do a great job at remembering to stop at the red line on the sidewa lk. They wait for the Crossing Guard to stop traffic, give the "all clear" and then cross the street.  Thank you also to the parents and staff who remember to do this. You are being great role models of s afety for your child or children.

Drivers are reminded that state law requires all vehicles to come a complete stop at least 10 feet from the crosswalk when a Crossing Guard is entering or is in the crosswalk. The vehicle should remain completely stopped until all pedestrians, including the Crossing Guard,
are safely back on the curb.  Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!
