The presentation of our Annual Safety Award will look a little different this year. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Safety Day is on hold indefinitely - but we will still be honoring our Annual Safety Award recipient!

We have come up with an idea that we think you'll be excited about for the presentation of this award! Be sure to check next week's newsletter for all the details.
Gone Fishin'
A we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Chris will be providing 3 guided fishing trips for Casella Construction employees. Here's how you can win trip #1:

The first winner will be drawn from the pool of employees who have submitted a good catch in 2020. Every single good catch submitted will count as an entry - so if you have more than one good catch, you will increase your chances to win!

Chris will take the winner and their guest (guest must be age 8 or older) on his boat, share some tips and tricks that he's learned along the way, and provide a unique fishing experience to be remembered!

Be sure to check next week's newsletter to find out who won trip #1!

Thank you all, and good luck!
Joe Casella and Chris Adams with their winning fish at last weekend's Outcast Angler Series Open Tournament
Joe and Chris jumped into a local team open tournament on Lake Champlain - and ended up winning! Together they weighed in three smallmouth bass and two largemouth bass for the five fish limit. Joe caught their biggest fish, a beauty 3.75 lb. smallmouth!
Be sure to check the newsletter often for more updates from Chris!
Fall Prevention
Each year, falls account for nearly 40% of all construction industry deaths. Incidents involving falls are generally complex events, frequently involving a variety of factors.

To help prevent these types of accidents, make sure working surfaces are clear and stable enough to hold the weight of both personnel and equipment.

Each employee working on a surface above 6 feet with unprotected edges must use a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. Holes must be covered, or a guardrail system/delineation area must be installed/maintained around the area.

Inspection Forms - Ready to Go!
The final piece of our new equipment inspection process is in place - our inspection forms have arrived, and you'll start to see these forms at all jobsites.

Joe Casella and Dan Caputo will be visiting all of our jobsites to begin the rollout of this new process, beginning this week with the VELCO Sandbar Substation.

Thank you to everyone for your help with this process, as we all work together toward maintaining a safe and industry-leading fleet.
Congrats, Michael!

True or False:
Operators should be capturing any damage on the equipment that wasn't present the day before.
