Happy March, Quilters!

We are all so happy to see that old, dirty snow gone!    Time for the green – whether it be the Irish green or just the green of springtime.   And this year, along with the promise of spring is the hope that life will also begin to bloom.    It has been a year that people will talk about forever.   So glad I could escape to my sewing room to fill my time at home.    Although I do have to say that Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry from The Great British Baking Show have been great company!    I have watched it so often, I think I know the recipes as well as the bakers!

Remember that I challenged you with some sad, lonely fat quarters back in January??    We are all going to look forward to their transformation into something happy and beautiful this month.  I do have to confess, that I think I ended up with the saddest one of the whole bunch.    There weren’t any rules – just make it happy.   This should be exciting!

Have you ladies been tuning in every Monday night for TQS LIVE???   This is a crazy new venture for the shop – but has been super fun!    Can you guess that I am standing behind the camera making faces at Leanne??

As we promised at the beginning of the year, we are spotlighting Midwest quilt designers each month and we have another exciting one to share in March.   Joann will introduce you to one of her favorites, Canuck Quilter Designs, from Ames, Iowa.  She is “a little bit modern, a little bit traditional, and big on color.”   If you have already used her designs, please bring it along to share.    Last month Carol featured Sandy Gervais – and if you got home and realized you had used her patterns or fabric, bring that along to share with us as well.  Remember, our favorite exercise is “ooh…..aaah”.

Should I totally jinx us and say that this is a nice break between shoveling snow and mowing lawn??    Still lots of time to be sewing!    Bring along a friend, and we will see you Tuesday night as you are “Gone Quilting”.
