Seeing the video of the torturous death of George Floyd stirs up inside of me emotions that are hard to suppress and what’s even harder is the will to want to stop them. I understand that we can’t always resort to our physical impulses in combating and destroying that witch does not receive us as human beings.
Yes my heart goes out to the family members of George Floyd and to his friends and sympathizers. Yes we want justice, yes we want to be recognized for our humanness and compassion. Yes, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.
Are we to stop or are we to continue to forged on by any means necessary to obtain those unalienable unalienable rights? We will go to the ends of legitimacies even though our spirit tells us to circumvent and go straight to the quick to get our justice. Nevertheless, we fight on.

I Am Ashamed Of My Sister
Dear Alma,
My younger, non-married sister is pregnant and she is going to ruin our standing in the community. I don’t know what she is thinking or how she could let this happen. She is only thinking about herself and being totally selfish. My father is the pastor of a very large church. My parents are very strong leaders, loving and supportive parents who taught us to be ambitious. I will graduate from college this year with a business degree and plan to return to assist my parents in the ministry. My brother is a sophomore in college, majoring in architecture. And here comes my baby sister, a high school junior, pregnant. I just can’t believe her. After she told my parents, my mother called my brother and me to let us know. I immediately rushed home and could see the pain and trauma on my mother’s face. This is the worst thing that could ever happen to my family and I’m not sure if we can recover. I am so angry right now, I just cannot speak. Help me to explain to her that she has ruined, ruined our family. And Alma, how can I assist my parents in this terrible situation?

MORTAL KOMBAT has been on life support since 1997 with a version of the film that was universally hated by critics and MORTAL KOMBAT fans.
A third MORTAL KOMBAT script languished in movie hell until Australian director Simon McQuoid had his name attached to the project in 2015. McQuoid first made a name for himself directing commercials, one of which was a 2011 spot for Play Station which brought together some of the games greatest characters. That earned him a shot at directing the movie.
MORTAL KOMBAT goes back to the basics as it tries to reboot the series and continue with the movie franchise. It appears that he achieved his goal. In his first feature film he brings back a lot of the original characters from the game, like Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The premise of the film is that the earth’s fighters are locked into a series of MMA battles with fighters from another planet called, Outworld. If Outworld wins the battle they will also win the rights to takeover our realm. They currently lead the battle nine matches to 1.

the Grand Opening of their Mental Health Clinic
Community Care Counseling is excited to open the doors of their new clinic on May 6, 2021, in Dallas to provide comprehensive mental health rehabilitation service to Medicaid recipients in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. The clinic will serve children, adolescents, and adults to advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with behavioral health challenges and promote the quality of life for community members. The grand opening will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 8330 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Suite B-870, Dallas, Texas. The grand opening will consist of door prizes, staff meet and greet, and a brief Community Care Counseling presentation, with an emphasis on their mobile care management program where they can deploy mental health professionals immediately onsite when and where a mental health crisis occurs.

Dallas voters rewarded several of their elected officials with two more years at City Hall while six races will take another month to determine a clear winner. Eight of 11 incumbents survived challenges to their council seats on Saturday based on the final election returns posted around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Council members Carolyn King Arnold, Adam Bazaldua and David Blewett were headed to June 5 runoff elections, based on unofficial results. The three open council races in Districts 2, 11 and 13 also will be decided in June. A runoff is held between the top two vote getters when no candidate can claim more than 50% of the vote. Incumbents Chad West, Casey Thomas, Jaime Resendez, Omar Narvaez, Tennell Atkins, Paula Blackmon, Adam McGough and Cara Mendelsohn appeared poised to reclaim their seats, according to unofficial results. Resendez’s margin was so thin, he had been on the brink of facing a runoff.

Hospital capacity in Dallas on April 30, 2021

DALLAS — Twenty-five hospitals on Friday reported ventilator and bed capacity numbers to Mayor Eric Johnson's office.
Dallas hospitals are required to report the information pursuant to the City of Dallas emergency regulations enacted by Mayor Johnson during the local state of disaster. The reporting requirements are meant to provide data to decision-makers and information to the public regarding the medical community's capacity to handle COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Here are the aggregate capacity totals for Friday, as reported by the 25 hospitals:
- Total beds: 6,001
- Beds occupied: 4,467
- Total ICU beds: 872
- ICU beds occupied: 584
- Total ventilators: 1,021
- Ventilators in use: 308
Please note that the numbers represent a point-in-time snapshot and might fluctuate throughout the day. Hospitals also may be able to expand bed capacity if necessary.
