3:00 p.m. Good Friday - online
Place a cross on your home altar for veneration of the cross.
Good Friday, a name that derives from “God’s Friday,” is the day we commemorate the Crucifixion of our Lord. We will share prayers, readings, and the Solemn Collects. As we reflect on the suffering and passion of Christ through the lens of our own current experience, these prayers should take on special significance.

5:30 p.m. Godly Play tells the story of Good Friday - online
Since we cannot pull apart the sadness of Jesus, dying on the cross from his resurrection, Godly Play Tells the Story of Good Friday as a liturgy designed for us to walk through the saddest part of Jesus' story as a family. Together we will pray for forgiveness, experience the saddest part of Jesus' story in language and images appropriate for all ages, wonder, pray, and sing our lament as we prepare for the joy of the Mystery of Easter. Each participant will need a rock and a cross (or materials for making an Eye of God) for a tactile experience of our prayers.

Stations of the Cross
Your invited to take a Virtual Tour of our Stations of the Cross. Created in 2020 by Ann Fowler, it includes readings and prayers led by your fellow Epiphany members. Emmaus House Outdoor Stations of the Cross

You are invited to walk the Emmaus House Outdoor Stations of the Cross from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Presenting the stories and the history of the Peoplestown community, the Emmaus House Stations of the Cross recontextualizes elements of the traditional Stations service for a 2021 Lenten reflection. Outdoor Activities
9-10 a.m. & 1-2:30 p.m.
The Children's Ministry Committee is hosting a new way to prepare our space for Easter outside. As with all activities at the church, you must RSVP in advance to participate. Social distancing and mask wearing are required.
We will have sidewalk chalk for beautifully decorating our worship space, there is a banner to assemble, and if you bring your hard boiled eggs and some color kits, there will be vinegar and water ready to make the colors (a table for each family to decorate their eggs) for Easter eggs. A story about the symbolism behind the different colors and shapes we use to decorate Easter eggs will be shared.
Sign-ups will CLOSE on Friday, April 2 at 12 p.m.
Godly Play will resume on Sunday, April 11 at 9 a.m.

6:00 a.m. Easter Vigil - outdoors (RSVP)
Bring bells to make some joyful noise at the Vigil service.
The Great Vigil service symbolically marks the transition of Jesus Christ from death to life, and thus invites us to reflect more fully on our own practice of faith.

9:00 a.m. Easter Day Services - online
12:15-12:40 p.m. Drive through Communion
This service will feature the Epiphany Choir and Epiphany Ringers, and congregational hymns. Place flowers and greenery next to a cross on your home altar.
10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. Easter Day Services - outdoors (RSVP)

Guest Preacher
Peng Yin is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. His research focuses on Thomas Aquinas, comparative ethics, Chinese theology, and religion and sexuality. At Candler, Yin teaches courses on queer theology, Christian Ethics, and Theology of Aquinas. He is working on a book entitled, Persisting in the Good: Thomas Aquinas and Classical Chinese Ethics.

Dr. Bobbi Patterson is returning to give a presentation entitled: Adaptive Resilience is a Spiritual Practice: Tools and Skills for Community Partnerships. Youth Formation
Outdoor Gatherings takes place during our in-person Evening Prayer gatherings on 2nd and 4th Sundays from 5 - 6 p.m. There will be time for a group check-in, as well as time to discuss the week's devotional material.
Online Gatherings take place via Zoom on 1st and 3rd Sundays from 5 - 6 p.m. and offers a time for building community through conversation and games.

Rise Up Ye ENT Friends! (And Other Friends of Our Earth)
The turnout of interest and effort and donations surrounding our Trees Atlanta project – coupled with the ongoing devotion and labor of heroes like Tom Felcher and John Yntema and Katharine Hilliard-Yntema and John Wierwille and Bill Graves and Jeanette Hanson and Paul Robertson and Alex Sherrill and others – makes us want to share our love for our land at Ponce at East Lake. We have heard and seen many ideas to care for, restore and improve our grounds – and interest in doing so in a way that is right with care of our earth, starting locally.
To collect ideas and develop a process for realizing the care of our property, we are calling a couple of “grounds gatherings” for any and all parties interested in how our grounds can be cared for and improved, both those with ideas and those who just want to get their hands in the dirt. We’ll have two initial sessions, one version on Tuesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. over Zoom and an in person (yes, in person!) walkabout on Sunday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. Click the link below to reserve your place and we'll share more information with you. The Altar Arrangements are used for both online and outdoor services. You may request a particular flower or color be used on the signup. Suggested donation is $75.

Dismantling Racism is offered by the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing, and runs from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Safeguarding Training: The New Inclusion Module OR the Healthy Boundaries and Preventing Abuse Module via Zoom is required for people who need re-certification for either Safeguarding God's Children or People as well as people who have never had either training.

Church Building Remains Closed
The staff continues to work mostly from home. They check their email and voicemail messages regularly.
Pastoral Emergencies: Please call the church at 404.373.8338 and leave a message for Amy (ext. 14) or Nicole (ext. 16). They receive message alerts and will return your call.
Building Sign-In Required: The building is closed to in-person worship and meetings, however, if you need to enter the church building for any reason, please sign in and out using the logbook at the entrance.

NON-FOOD Pantry Drive for March FINAL TALLY |
The ECW sponsors a pantry drive for Emmaus House twice a year in March and October for non-food items not covered by the Food Stamp program. Last month the ask was for liquid dish soap and paper towels.

The United Thank Offering
The ingathering will take place on Sunday, April 11

The United Thank Offering (UTO) contributions support Episcopal missions and ministries. UTO envelopes and coin boxes are available outside by the entrance. Please make checks out to The Episcopal Church Women, noting UTO in the memo field.

Year end statements were sent via email on January 15 with the subject line “Your giving statement from Church of the Epiphany.” Statements are also available on Realm. If you have not yet done so, please enroll so you have immediate access to your giving record and the church directory. Should that be impractical for you, email our bookkeeper Susie Boyko to request a PDF by email or paper statement by mail be sent to you.

Racial Justice Group meets 2nd Tuesdays |
The Racial Justice Group (RJG) meets 2nd Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Called by our baptismal covenant to strive for justice and peace among all people and to respect the dignity of every human being, the RJG is focused on lifelong learning and action steps we can take as individuals and as a church community to help achieve racial equity and justice. All are welcome.

Racial Justice Book Study Group meets last Wednesdays |
|
You are invited to join Epiphany’s Racial Justice Book Study group on the last Wednesday of the month from 6:45 - 8 p.m. We are currently reading Caste, by Isabel Wilkerson and will continue to read and discuss the book through April.
The purposes of our Book Study are to:
- educate and inform ourselves on the history of racial injustice
- better understand the challenges of changing racial inequities and seeking racial justice, and
- work toward pragmatic and effective ways to be better anti-racist advocates.

Grief Pastoral Care Group meets 1st Thursdays |
The Grief Pastoral Care Group meets online 1st Thursdays at noon for a healing and faith based conversation around grief and loss. Led by parishioners Megan Fraijo-Paul and Nancy Thompson, both trained psychotherapists. Email either Megan or Nancy to join the group and receive the Zoom link.

Flex & Stretch and Chair Yoga |
