These Peanuts - Good Grief!
Indeed, we're having a peanut party at the Mississippi Farmers Market Saturday and you are invited!

Step onto the front porch for a peanut wonderland! Rogers Farm in Collins donated 400 pounds of green peanuts for boiling and boiled they are! We would like to give you some.

The Mississippi Peanut Growers are giving away roasted peanuts and Mississippi Peanut Supply are selling fried peanuts.

Well, we are not having an actual party, but the atmosphere at the market is always party-ish!

Delicious produce, herbs, dairy, shrimp, honey, jams, salsas, coffee, baked goods, eggs, beef and pork, as well as works of art from local artisans.

Make sure you shop the whole market... just never know what you will find!

Be sure to stop by the Biscuit Booth for your hot, fluffy and free scratch-made biscuits. Eat them filled with Blackburn syrup or savor your biscuit unadorned. You can't go wrong either way! It's a yummy tradition.
The 162nd Mississippi State Fair Opens Wednesday, October 6th at 5:00 p.m.
There is excitement in the air as the state fairgrounds begins a transformation along the midway.
Everyday the layout changes, grows and becomes more vibrant with color.

The Mississippi State Fair opens on Wednesday, October 6th and runs through Sunday, October 17th.

Expect some exciting new activities and events at the State Fair this year. It's going to be a blast!
