$345,500 in Grants to 29 Local Nonprofits in Its
2026 "Growing Good" Grants Program
| | Since 2013, the Foundation has awarded over $3.3 million in grants through this effort to fill critical needs in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle thanks to generous donor support. | | Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) announced grants totaling $345,500 to 29 nonprofit organizations this week to fill critical needs like hunger, homelessness and behavioral health care in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle. This year’s “Growing Good” Nonprofit Grants Program brings BCF’s total charitable investment in local nonprofit programs to more than $3.3 million since 2013, thanks to generous donors to the Foundation’s Grants Fund. | | | | |
"This is truly the most wonderful day of the year at Bayou Community Foundation—celebrating the nonprofits who change lives every day in Lafourche, Terrebonne, and Grand Isle, and honoring our compassionate donors whose generosity supports this important work.
Together, we are growing good and building our unique and precious bayou community so everyone can thrive," said President & CEO Jennifer Armand at the organization’s August 12 grants ceremony hosted by Cenac Marine Services.

The grants were selected from more than 80 applications submitted.
They fund local nonprofit programs that feed the hungry, provide safe shelter for women and children, support parents in addiction recovery, and fill other critical community needs such as workforce training for rural residents, academic enrichment for vulnerable youth, and support for children in foster care.
| | This year’s awards include THREE GRANT CATEGORIES to help nonprofits meet their own operational needs, maintain and expand critical program delivery, and implement new innovative and collaborative programs to address emerging needs. |
| "This generous grant from Bayou Community Foundation will help Brothers Keeper Bayou Region provide emergency housing for homeless women in our community. Safe, available shelter for women in crisis is in critically short supply here. This funding will give BKBR the ability to offer interim housing and immediate support — a safer place to stay while a woman works toward long-term stability. We're committed to helping one woman at a time, with integrity, compassion, and support, as she rebuilds a stable life,” explains volunteer Angela Bramande, LPC. | | |
