Bayou Community Foundation Participates in Feeding Louisiana's Anti-Hunger Day at the Capitol

Bayou Community Foundation staff joined organizations from across the state April 30 for Feeding Louisiana's Anti-Hunger Day at the Capitol, an annual event held to build partnerships and advocate for hunger relief in our state.

BCF was proud to stand alongside both state wide and local partners like Terrebonne Churches United Food Bank and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux at this impactful event.

Through our Nonprofit Grants Program, Working Group on Hunger and regional Food Bank Directory, BCF works to strength and support collaborative solutions to fight food insecurity in our precious Bayou Region.

BCF and Ducks Unlimited Host Boat Tour of Marsh Terracing Projects in South Lafourche

Bayou Community Foundation and Ducks Unlimited partnered for a boat tour of DU's marsh terracing projects in southern Lafourche Parish April 24.

We saw first-hand how these conservation efforts by Ducks Unlimited and their many partners are helping to protect our coastal communities from erosion and buffering our coast during storms. We also walked up the South Lafourche levee near the floodgates to see the site of a future terracing project near the elevated LA 1 project. These projects are building resiliency for us all!

Special thanks to the Town of Golden Meadow for hosting us, and Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre and Port Fourchon for providing our transportation.

Empower to Dream: A Dream Manager Workshop for Nonprofit Staff and Volunteers

Bayou Community Foundation is proud to partner with Kellie Duhon, Corporate Giving Manager of Louisiana Blue, to present Empower to Dream — a free, transformative workshop designed to help nonprofit leaders, staff and volunteers reconnect with their personal and professional dreams and goals.

Inspired by the acclaimed Dream Manager Program, this session will guide participants in rediscovering the power of dreaming. When we stop dreaming, we begin to disengage—from our work, our relationships, and the life we truly want. It's time to change that.
