New Year, New Opportunities to Create a

Bayou Community Where ALL Can THRIVE

A Message from President and CEO Jennifer Armand

Friend

2026 is already off to a wonderful start here at Bayou Community Foundation, and Elizabeth, Kati and I, along with our all BCF Board members and volunteers, are looking forward to new opportunities to Grow Good with you in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle in the months ahead!

We kicked off our 5th season of Rebuild the Bayou in December, marking another year of our innovative housing recovery program. Through this spring, we will be working with our rebuilding volunteers from Christian Aid Ministries to build and repair homes for up to 20 families in Houma, Thibodaux, northern Terrebonne and central Lafourche, including four new builds for residents who lost everything in Hurricanes Ida and Francine. What an incredible journey this has been for these residents, BCF and our rebuild volunteers and partners as we rebuild homes, lives and our community! We expect to close out this season with a total of 600 projects completed since fall 2021, thanks to the amazing power of philanthropy and volunteers.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Mary and Al Danos Family Foundation, BCF is launching a comprehensive outreach campaign to promote our BayouHelp.org online resource directory, and our online Food Bank Directory continues to be a huge asset for residents in need of food and the organizations that serve them. We are also preparing to open our 2026 Nonprofit Grants Program this month, Growing Good Luncheon and nonprofit workshops this spring, and our Annual Nonprofit Conference in October.

I'm also excited to be working with donors like you to achieve your philanthropic goals through our growing list of Donor Advised Funds, Endowed Funds and Field of Interest Funds at BCF. And I'm very pleased to continue to offer new and impactful ways for our corporate partners to strategically and efficiently direct their community investments to fill critical needs in our region, such as Chevron's recent Holidays in the Bayou grants.

Best of all, we have the greatest blessing of doing this work another year with you - our friends and partners in philanthropy - right here, in this special and unique place we call home and creating a community where ALL can THRIVE. On behalf of all of us at Bayou Community Foundation, thank you for all you do and all you share with us to make great things happen in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle!

2025 - A Year of Impact

With the generous support of donors like you, Bayou Community Foundation is strengthening Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle through philanthropic leadership and creating a robust and diverse coastal community where ALL can thrive.

THANK YOU FOR INVESTING IN OUR CRITICAL MISSION!

We are grateful for this opportunity to share with you some of the the impacts we made together in 2025.

Bayou Community Foundation 2025 Highlights

In 2025, Bayou Community Foundation grew our work and donor partnerships to elevate meaningful, community-driven impact across Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle.

Through our Annual Nonprofit Grants Program, donor-directed giving and the launch of new impact funds, Bayou Community Foundation supported organizations and initiatives addressing housing, hunger, behavioral health and much more.

In the 4th year of our Rebuild the Bayou housing recovery program, we welcomed 39 families back home, completing 29 full home restorations and repairs, one new build, and nine other housing solutions in partnership with our volunteers from Christian Aid Ministries.

We launched our BayouHelp.org community resource directory and our Food Bank Directory to help local residents find the services they need, and offered local nonprofits opportunities to strengthen their efforts at our Annual Nonprofit Conference and workshops. BCF also celebrated with donors and partners at our Growing Good Luncheon, Nonprofit Bus Tour and Bayou Bell Ringers holiday concert.

As we look ahead, Bayou Community Foundation remains focused on building momentum, expanding partnerships and growing this impact in 2026 to create a community where ALL CAN THRIVE.

We are excited to GROW GOOD with you in 2026!

BCF FUNDS: GIVING MAKES GREAT THINGS HAPPEN

BCF Grants $15,000 from Second Harvest Bayou Fund in 2025 to Feed Our Neighbors

Bayou Community Foundation was pleased to award $15,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank - Bayou Region through our Second Harvest Bayou Fund in 2025, including a $10,000 grant just before Christmas.

This funding provides food to local pantries in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle to feed local residents in need right here at home.

These BCF grants to Second Harvest Bayou are made possible by the generosity of donors who responded to the hunger crisis with their tax-deductible gifts to the Second Harvest Bayou Fund at BCF. THANK YOU!

Your support helps strengthen local food systems and ensures that families and individuals in our community who need the help have access to nutritious food throughout the year at a food pantry close by. YOUR GIFTS GROW GOOD!
