1. Year-Round Enjoyment

A fire feature extends the usability of your outdoor space, providing warmth and ambiance in cooler months. Whether it's a crisp autumn evening or a chilly spring night, a fire lets you enjoy the outdoors longer.

2. Creates a Cozy Atmosphere

Fire naturally draws people in, creating a gathering spot for family and friends. A well-designed fire pit or fireplace becomes the heart of outdoor entertaining, perfect for making memories, roasting marshmallows, or simply unwinding.

2025 TRENDING IN LANDSCAPE DESIGN:

Let us start with the Colour of 2025 from Pantone, Mocha Mousse. This warm milk chocolate brown steers to neutral harmony and you will see it in new furnishings and fashions, including for patios. It is a repeat of a colour popular in the early 1980’s, testament to what goes around comes around!

Some may find this colour difficult to work with but here are some cool and warm colour suggestions for your patio containers:

The chosen plants to represent 2025:

* Perennial Plant Association’s plant of the year is Pycnanthemum muticum (Clustered mountain mint). This North American native member of the mint family is found in meadows and light woodlands. Growing 2’ to 3’tall, its spreading stems have tiny white blooms surrounded by silvery bracts giving it a frosted appearance. A great addition for the naturalistic / eco garden, it blooms extensively from July providing nectar for pollinators late into the season and is hardy in our area and deer resistant too.

*Hosta of the Year from the American Hosta Growers Association:

‘Skywriter’ is a lovely medium sized blue Hosta with wavy crinkled blue leaves which are paler below and purplish leaf stems, more info and photo at link below:

*Proven Winners Evergreen Shrub of the Year is a cedar, Thuja occidentalis ‘North Pole’, ideal for tight corners and smaller gardens it grows to 10’ to 15’ tall and up to 5’ wide and is winter burn resistant. However, if you have deer pressure you’d be wise to wrap for winter.
