2022 Louisiana/Mississippi CU Salary Survey Open: Participate for a Free Copy!
Setting competitive pay structures for your employees can be a challenge. In order to assist you, the Louisiana Credit Union League and the Mississippi Credit Union Association sponsor a joint compensation survey every two years to gather current information on the salary and benefits offered by credit unions.

The 2022 LA/MS Credit Union Compensation Survey is now in progress. We need your assistance to make this survey a success. Credit unions who participate in the survey will receive a free copy of the complied results, valued at $300.

U.S. House of Financial Services Advances Credit Union Supported Legislation
Tuesday, the House Financial Services Committee voted to advance the Credit Union Governance Modernization Act (CUGMA). The legislation would modernize the Federal Credit Union (FCU) Act’s provisions related to member expulsion in order to keep credit unions, their members, and staff safe from illicit behavior. The bill now advances to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

STPFCU Mourns the Loss of Volunteer Dr. James Fortenberry
Southern Teachers & Parents FCU (STPFCU) shares the loss of Dr. James Fortenberry who was a dedicated and committed Board member for over 55 years. Dr. Fortenberry was a devoted family man and an accomplished educator. His professional career included acting as Dean of the Graduate School of Southern University. His community involvement included his involvement with STPFCU. He served as Vice President, Chair of the Personnel Committee, and member of the Supervisory Committee. In December of 2020, he was bestowed the honor of being named the first STPFCU Director Emeritus. In 2014, he was inducted into the Louisiana Credit Union Hall of Fame. His soft spoken words of wisdom and commitment to building wealth in our community will be sorely missed.
