No wonder the right-wing is upset.

More than 11,000 teachers signed up to access people’s history lessons in 2022, bringing our full registration at the Zinn Education Project to more than 151,000 teachers from every state in the country.

This means that young people are learning to read the news with a critical eye, to assess current events through the lens of history, and to see through red-baiting and fear-mongering scare tactics.

Read highlights from our work in 2022 and help us provide more teachers with resources to teach outside the textbook in 2023.

In 2022, we have:

  • Developed new lessons on Reconstruction, Rosa Parks, and voting rights

The right-wing wants to force educators to teach only conservative “patriotic” narratives.

Please donate so that we can defend teachers right to teach peoples history in this perilous time.
