Renovation Dedication Celebration
Our Renovation Dedication Celebration was joyous and delicious! Thanks be to God for all of the labor and love that has brought our church spaces into a new chapter.
Thank you to all our congregation members and friends who dreamed of spaces that serve the wellbeing of the whole community.
Thank you to all of our contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, and donors who brought our bright, warm, welcoming spaces into existence.
Thank you to everyone who cooked, prepped, rehearsed, sang, ushered, decorated, served, welcomed, read, and led our worship service dedicating our renovated spaces and our ministries to God’s purposes.
Thank you to everyone who pledged, gave and prayed for this faithful vision for our future as a faith community.
We now have 30,000 sf of accessible, beautiful, functional space for meetings, classes, worship, weddings, funerals, recitals, concerts, performances, exhibitions, and community gatherings. We have already begun welcoming community groups into new spaces. Our church groups are using renovated spaces. We look forward to receiving new chairs for the chapel in January. We are planning for open houses and community tours after the first of the year. This is such a joy!

Donations Requested: Gently Used Garden Tools for the Earth Care Team
The Earth Care Team is seeking donations of gently used garden tools. Items of particular need include: garden shovels (spades), rakes, weeders, hand tools, pruning shears, loppers, and a wheelbarrow. If you are downsizing, moving, or simply have tools you no longer use, we would be most grateful for your contribution. Each item will be refurbished and used to help care for God’s creation through the work of our ministry. Thank you for your generosity and partnership in this mission. There will be a box inside the garden doors for you to drop off your items.

Hospital Notices
Please note that the hospitals no longer contact local churches to let them know when a member is admitted. We encourage members and friends of First Presbyterian to call the church office to let us know when you go to the hospital so Pastor Susan and Chaplain Tim can provide pastoral support if it blesses you. We do not share any information without permission.

Coffee Fellowship
Thank you to all who have provided goodies and made coffee so that we can fellowship together after service.
We are always grateful for coffee fellowship hosts. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the commons. If you are interested in hosting but don't want to do it by yourself please let Michelle know and we can find a partner for you.

In order to ensure your gift is credited to the correct fund, please take a moment to include the following information when making a donation:
-
Writing a check – Add the fund name in the memo section (Capital Campaign, Peacemaking, Samaritan Ministry, etc.)
-
Online portal – Select “Other Donations” when entering the amount then enter the name of the fund in the Notes section
-
Text giving – Text “$10 CC” to 217-284-2546, this example is a $10 donation for the Capitol Campaign fund. Other commonly used text codes are: Pledge, SM (Samaritan Ministries), Donate (Non-pledge), Peace, Joy, OGHS, Pentecost and BB (Brown Bag)
